We love our strong, inspirational ladies-on our team and those we've had the pleasure working with! Who wants to see more of these? 👀 Let us know some Q's you'd ask!
peachiechristine peachiechristine Omg you replied 😭. I want to let you know how much you helped me be a better version of me Christine. I did the “I’m Sorry, Thank you and I Love You” activity with my friend circle one night. And we all ended up bawling our eyes out. It was so vulnerable and heart warming, made us appreciate each other more. So thank you for that Christine ❤️ Love all the way from Nepal 🇳🇵
Whenever my parents would say "the guy has to be more successful (aka make more money) than you", I responded with "so I have to be less successful than him?". and well when you put it that way, no. they don't want that.
I did exactly what Michelle did throughout high school and college where I would write to my future self, "Did you get a boyfriend yet?" And right now I have a girlfriend instead 🤭
Love this! Its true, the spark dies down but at the end of the day, it all goes back to choosing to love someone for all their imperfections and how they complement us and make us better
I love seeing everyone's point of view. For some reason, sparks always come into a topic about love.. for me if you lost spark.. it was never really there. Having sparks for someone will always be there because you truly love them.. and you never stop even when life gets hard. You have sparks with your friends and family too. It is that connection that will forever be there even if they aren't physically by your side anymore.
YESSSS!!!! What christine said is soooo true, I'm 25 still have never dated or even had a crush on a nonfictional guy. I have alot of guy friends and I saw the discrepancy of the girl/guy view.
Even though I have no issue with earning more or less money than my partner, my parents have been pushing me to make sure my partner makes more money. However that’s definitely an outdated mindset and I think it’s because of the generational gap
Mmm that's relatable for sure. They do come from a whole different generation where women had less opportunities as well as gender expectations for both men and women. But that's the beauty in us becoming adults and choosing for ourselves what kind of people we want to be
At the end of the video, Wong Fu recommends we watch the last Lunch Break Christine was on and their new short film "The Spring We Never Had" and the two thumbnails look similar. Lmao.
Ok on the real with the topic. My gf makes more than I do. She holds a managerial position in retail while I work in the IT side working my way up. It bothered me a lot before because I wasn't able to buy my gf the stuff her past ex's got for her easily. However, you see why that didn't work out. Money isn't everything. However, it does push me to better myself so that I can be on the same level field with her so i can buy her stuff without having to worry.
Same! Or at least when I was fresh out of college, between jobs and in severe debt. She helped keep me on my feet and fed so now I can return the favor. I 100% wouldn't be where I am today without her support.
YES! Michelle YES!!! I SAW THAT SAME TED TALK TOO!!! That is why I started wearing an expensive ring with diamonds on it on my "Wedding" finger. The exact idea of fthe pornographic patriarchy; I'm married to myself! (I know that's probably not as far as you take it, but that's where I'm at). NO make-up, and MY OWN diamond ring.
Being a guy, I could care less if my lady made more money than me. I think the only time it should be a problem is when the man is one of men who refuses to work and wants his woman to pay for him. I mean the type of guys who sit at home playing video games all day, hanging out with their friends spending the money his woman gives him, and not even trying to do anything around the house.
I remember making more than my ex, mainly cause she was unemployed and got money from her parents (at the age of 27), then she dumped me after 3 years for someone younger (19) and he didn't have a job or even a vehicle.
Times may have changed to where women make more outside the home yet inside the home, majority of housework/childcare is done by women and they are still expected to change their last names after marriage.
I haven't watched yet, but if my partner made less than me (as a woman) I'd be very, very happy. If I was doing something that I loved and he was content with what he was doing, we're good as long as he has no problem
@SuperBrownDawg Oh, I just kind of meant it wouldn't matter to me. But I said I'd be happy because it would probably mean I was doing well, and as long as he's pursuing something he wants to do and is a reasonable, responsible person, we'd be good.
K Parker Gotcha, i don’t think it would bother me at all either. If my partner were to let their insecurities about unequal income ruin our relationship, probably dodged a bullet
What a great conversation, but omg they all say 'like' so often. Do other people notice this too or do I notice it because I'm not American and English is my second language... 😅
Perhaps the title of the video should be changed. I was expecting a discussion about what you should do if your partner made less than you, but I what heard was a discussion about beauty standards and perceptions and expectations against realities
We love our strong, inspirational ladies-on our team and those we've had the pleasure working with! Who wants to see more of these? 👀 Let us know some Q's you'd ask!
Yes please! The Wongfu women past and present are amazing and I love hearing what they have to share when it's just the girls.

Love that. As we grow older, we really get to see for ourselves what truly matters. I'm sure the pandemic has helped a lot of us gain more perspective
