Back in 2003 I happened to walk in on a 300 game at a Fort Myers Bowling alley. A high school buddy had 8 in a row when I got there. He made it 9 in a row when I asked him if he had the perfect 300 before. Good thing that didn't jinx him. The entire alley was full of people. When they realised what's happening all went silent. You could hear a needle drop. The 12th strike was a Brooklyn but they all went down. The people where going crazy. It was big fun to watch!👍😉
GEM I don’t think you can bowl a 299 not even if you get all strikes and your last bowl is a spare for a 9, I’m in a bowling league I know the scores don’t even try to lie to be bruh
I've bowled one 300 game in league. Sure it was exciting, but honestly....the bowling center I worked at (the same one I bowled at), would usually have 2-3 300 games per week. It kind of detracts from the excitement and feeling unique that you've done it, you know?
I relish the 7 strikes I got in a competition many years ago and choked in the 8th frame. You talk about being nervous. Just one of those rarities in life.
There have been 4 300-300 ties in the match-play portion of a PBA tournament as of 1995. There have probably been more since but this is what I found. That’s like the worst feeling in the world. When something amazing happens and you get super popular because of it, but you wake up in your bed and realize it was all a dream. That’s happened to me and I go kind of insane for a minute because of it. I couldn’t tell you how many times that particular thing has happened in the past month. Each and every time, I lose a little bit of my sanity, part of it dies when I realize it all.
I started teaching myself how to hook the ball only recently. Got tired of just going straight down the middle with pure power. I'm getting better at the hook/curve. Bowled a 138 score today. Normally I average about 80-85 bowling straight.
You have to have been around the sport and seen the evolution of bowling balls and aggressive styles like Belmonte to really appreciate the way he just devastates those racks.
@@Jeon1958able No, a hard 4 pin really isn't a thing, you never throw a perfect shot and then leave a 4 and think "damn how didn't that go down." A few nights ago I was ONE PIN from a 300. Strikes on frames 1-6, and 8-10. But that damn 7th frame... Left a single pin standing. Picked up the spare and finished with a 279, but I doubt I will ever stop thinking about that ONE DAMN PIN...
I love belmontes bowling game on Android.. you got to check him out on dude perfect and see some of the trick shots that guy does. Knocks down 100+ pins on it plus throws a ball perfectly between balls for a strike
Once during a tournament I was so far out of contention I decided to get a beer and just enjoy throwing the last 2 games... My last game was a 288. Left my self a 7 pin that was moved so far out of position the pin setter knocked it down. Absolutely no one in the alley wanted to have the score corrected, they wanted the strike credited just to see me have a chance.
This ought to tell you how lucky you have to be sometimes. At least 3 of his strikes came from a pin luckily bouncing across the lane to take out another pin.
I average a 175 but that's my ultimate dream to bowl a 300 I came close bowled a 279 had a dead flush in the 4th frame and left a stone 10 pin then struck all the way out
I always thought i was such an expert bowler everytime i score 120+ then i saw this, now i dont wanna think like that anymore. Gotta get that 300 soon lolol
my high game is a 235. opened first frame with a split then strike spare open and clean through the rest i believe. high school average of about 165 right now but im working to get better.
Had the front nine then left the 4 7 picked up and shot a 278. Then the next week i topped it with a 279. I had the front 4. Left the 5 pin on a Brooklyn and then struck out. This was earlier this month lol. The lucid rolls. No pun intended
