EVA is the creation of an author so heavily depressed so it’s literally is his way off expressing himself which is why it’s so dark cause it’s realistic. Aot also is very dark but not for the same reason as how a persons state of mind be so fucked. It’s more just a masterfully crafted story with incredible characters and so on. Its kinda used real world imagery like the maryleyans representing nazis very closely and the he use Holocaust imagery to represent Eldians like them have armbands to identify the “devils” a lot like nazi Germany
The Ocean Scene has to be one of the greatest scenes of all time in any medium. The use of this soundtrack really just made it hit that feeling of despair.

I guess there's actually chance that it might be definitely gonna be used in final season, because last Time it was used in s3 part 2 ending credit scene which was a glimpse of s4. So it's possible that they're going to use it.
0:38 I think this part of the song should be played in the episode that covers chapter 139 in the scene where Armin remembers his talk with Eren then he cries as soon as he sees Mikasa carrying Eren's head. i don't know that's just my idea.

@@eternalpain7762 while I could talk about what I love or have issues with for days my big 3 gripes are 1.i actually thought Eren was the dad but it was just a red herring. Maybe a backup plan if the alliance lost? 2. Annie and Armin don't kiss like c'mon. 3. I wish we got one more shot of ymir with Eren and Armin but otherwise I think this had to happen. Lelouch is an obvious comparison and yeah I think they are similar characters overall. I do actually love how Historia is used as an open ended ending. We can all assume what will happen but I think Historia will fight them and continue the war. Sad but like they said war is basically inevitable in humankind. I also love Armin Levi and mikasa as a whole they have amazing arcs I think.

I honestly never saw this song as deppressing, I saw it as mellow and relaxing. Maybe that says a lot about me than the song, but I stand by it nonetheless.
Unpopular opinion: I think the story should have ended at the second half of part 3. Not because I hate part 4, but because I think seeing what happens after is kind of dissatisfying since it limits the possibilities of what could happen after the story concludes. It'd have been nice to finish the series on such a bittersweet note, as well as leave the future of the characters and world up to interpretation.
I'd literally take anything than the plot-hole filled ending that we received. I loved part 4 but it just has a terrible ending, that's just my opinion though.
@@Chazzeruni The main issue with part 4 is plot holes and a half assed ending, but another issue is the reconning and abandonment of existing information and lore, plus major. For example on both plot holes and reconning, the titan powers were said to have been given to Ymir by an earth devil, and the story gave small bits of information that pointed to Eren being the "demon", Eren was shown changing his hairstyle to match the shifters he'd recently eaten(implying they were somehow influencing his mind either actively or morally through their memories), and Eren stating that he wants to eliminate the entire world because they'll attack Paradise regardless. Then part 4 reconned them and said, "Titans came from magic evolution worms and there was no demon, Eren changing his hairstyle has no actual meaning, and Eren was just pulling a Code Geass because he was mad he couldn't stay around and be with his friends(and for some reason didn't stop the rumbling and attempted to kill his friends with ancient titan shifters when they got in his way despite later claiming he wanted to save them)."
@@Chazzeruni Part 4 is my favorite because of Eren's character development and the way that it is much darker than previous seasons, but holy fuck, WHY DID WE GET THAT ENDING
