The roads honestly don’t look very bad. The cars seem to be going fairly fast. I’m not saying to go out driving right now, but it’s kind of funny to see the reporters saying how bad it is while the cars go flying by, lol. Regardless, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. I agree, the same thing happened in Florida with a “Hurricane”, they stated it was deadly and catastrophic and people were walking their dogs with shorts and t shirts right on the news. It was only a little light rain and wind.

It would be interesting to fly over the area that's closed. They may have vehicles that have slid off the road, and/or semi-trucks that have jackknifed all along up to Hood River.
The city of Portland should pay peoples to cut the big trees instead asking for permit to cut the big trees. what a rip off state for homeowners. This happen every years without power. Small business losing so much money each years too. Electric company should cut the frees half of the big trees instead only cut v around wires.
