- Hector Olivera organ dedication concert at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goose Creek, SC on March 11, 2018. Part 1/3
Recorded on a handheld Samsung Galaxy S 8+, so sound quality and videography are mediocre.
I haven’t heard Hector play since the late 1970’s in a little restaurant outside of Cleveland, Ohio. For some reason he crossed my mind today so I thought I would look on UA-cam. It’s wonderful to see and hear that he is doing so well. Thank you so much for posting. 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
wie schön!! it gets really warm to your heart

This is definitely one of the more realistic sounding Allen Organ installs I have heard. I love this beautiful instrument!
Waste of money.
It is not just the instrument but the acoustics of the church and how it has been installed. Take a pipe organ which has many individual pipes. Say 10 of them sound at once that equates to 10 speakers. So in a digital or similar organ you may need to have a good sound system to spread the sound and not just 1 or 2 speakers in the console. The fact that the recording on a cell phone sounds so good is due to the acoustical quality of the building.
I love the Handel. Of all his concerti, I think I love this one most. It's fun to play (assuming the organ has at least 3 manuals) and more fun to hear. I wish he had played the 2nd and 3rd movements.
Congratulations on the new organ, beautiful concert.
The clarinet stop sounds just like pure square waves, very disappointing. Rest of the organ sounded great though and Hector was his usual incredible self playing mostly without any music! I love Hector to death and feel he’s the finest organist of our time, dry versatile as well. Thank you very much for posting, adrian in Bermuda......
Thanks for posting this video. It's too bad, though, I can't understand what Hector is saying. I know he has a great sense of humor.
Richard Wildhirt Yes. He was funny. I wish his words had come through better. The phone mic wasn't good enough to do that, sadly.
beautiful tone... great playing.... 32 ' a little too loud though
I don’t mind the 32 bombarde. So I don’t know why you’re complaining.
I would've left after 30 seconds of that buzzer.
still a decent recording...... Dream digital to own.....
Vive l'Amérique !!!
I think a church is better off without an organ if all they can afford is an electric organ. The sound of an electric organ is boring. Buy a good piano instead.
