We all love 4:45, but my favorite part is 4:22. I really love how Balderich's face turns from a teacher looking at the student for the last time into a warrior going for the noble last stand..
And then he puts his helmet on and the eyes light up...

I don't know what it is, but I really love "Last Stands" motifs in stories. The idea of an old master holding NOTHING back because they know its their final battle really scratches an itch for me
If anyone knows some good movies/shows with a last stand like this PLEASE tell me
@@fntatn Well, it may be short, but Commander Thorn's last stand in Clone Wars, season 6, episode 7 is definitely suitably badass enough for a last stand.
@@fntatnthis is late, but try watching Secret War from Love Death and Robots. Not exactly an old master holding nothing back, but still an impressive last stand nonetheless
We should be able to use all of these short animated songs has a menu music in the main game, just saying

@@memebeans6094 I was referring to the Lawsuits surrounding Blizzard's antics in general.
They released these songs after half a year of losing money, stocks and lawsuits related to harrassment charges, almost as if they are trying to hurridly reclaim their lost audience.
Sad to say, the nice soundtrack being released doesn't make up to over three years of ill treatment of their gamers, workers and general selling out.

Reinhardt's story is why I'm still playing Overwatch
4:45 always was my favorite part of this song, it really hits the difference between Balderich's last strike and Rein finally protecting their team, the voice sounds like an angelic call between all the chaos and dispair, like telling you "there is always hope, even though all you can see is darkness", and it still really hurts when it cuts into Balder's sacrifice and demise, I was very emotional watching... He lived with honor and died with glory.
My favorite short by far

The music, the camera shots, and then the transition to the modern day is enough to make a grown man cry
Balderich was the team’s shield even if Rein did come back to protect them
I love this part made me feel so emotional.
5:45 gives me chills every time... the finality of the sound and the switch to present are so powerful...
Favorite animated short from Blizzard, period.

What a shame seeing the actual state of overwatch, those that where there on 2016 know what a great story this game has

being able to cancel the charge recovery with a shield or hammer swing in the ow2 beta felt bloody amazing and it really sells that big german himbo fantasy

This game may be almost dead, but the cinematics are fantastic, from the first to the last, the music, the animation, you really have to get up and applaud the work of the animation and sound department of these cinematics, excellent work.

As a Rein main 4:22 is always a "fire me up" musical moment in a losing situation during a game (and I ALWAYS crank it up and it does actually help) and will always be a FeelsStrongMan moment. Us Rein mains are the only honest tanks remaining in the game, and we deserve our moments of glory o7
If you didnt already, go check out the overwatch league version of this song, its the best part and i think its 10x better (more epic).
I had no idea they finally released this, I just came back to Overwatch and saw they released the heroes and villains themes and was like "when are they going to release the score from the shorts?" Little did I know it was already here.
