The way he makes even magic look like a physical extension of a character’s strength... Just wow. I particularly mean the scene where Mustang just goes HAM on Envy. I have always loved to watch that scene, and in FMAB it conveys the emotions masterfully. Also, by showing Mustang literally FLINGING & charging up his snaps like someone would rear back for a punch really helps it seem like these blasts are more powerful & deliberate than his usual casual shots.
it never occurred to me that i could look up individual animators to find more action shows. ive been living under a rock for so long and its been so hard to find more content i havent seen before. i went through a bunch of videos like this and now i have like 20 more shows to watch THANK THE LORD all hail kameda
The best way I can describe his animation style as, is wet. Or, more accurately, fluid. Each move he draws, it just feels real. Like, people could actually move like this. It also feels incredibly heavy. It's incredible.
It's kinda hard to describe exactly what makes his work so...him. Yet you can still feel it somehow. I guess what I can use to describe it is...dynamic. Kameda loves playing with camera angles and movements, he always finds a way to make the characters' poses look more fluid/dynamic/imposing by putting the camera in just the right places. The way he draws the characters is also unique as well. Another trait that I noticed is in every frame his characters always have great facial expressions, he is definitely a master of that. I will say an anime that best showcases Kameda's style is Mob Psycho 100, even if he actually didn't animate much, probably because he was the chief animation director and character designer. But the entire show in general just reeks of his style, from character animations to effect animations to camera angles to the scratchy lineworks during smear frames etc. If you pay close attention to his scene in the FMA: Sacred Star of Milos (not the one shown here) the entire scene won't seem out of place in MP100. The shading, the thicker lineart, the color schemes, they match.
I wanna be an animator but I don’t have the patience and drawing talent to do so. I know I can just practice but it’s just not for me. I wish I could animate tho
Hopefully he's working on the new movie. The DB20th movie already has a bunch of talented animators working on it and with the new character designs Naohiro Shintani has created for the movie I can totally see Kameda doing something amazing with them. So lets hope that the whole staff gets revealed soon.
@@AidYann He might be at MAPPA for JJK lmao, which is where his style fits without the need for corrections. The trailer was pre animated and he only made one cut, so I'm not expecting him at all.

This animator Yoshimichi kameda someday should animate some super dragon ball scene since he is also a freelancer, hopefully later toei animation call him since toei animation currently has excellent animators like karasawa (madhouse), yong ce (chinese animator) , ken otsuka (bones), YUYA TAKAHASHI (freelancer and has participated in several fairy tail chapters, but his best works are in dragon ball super since he makes it very great, epic and impressive with an excellent quality to the movie of DBZ and is inspired by SHIDA). Obvious one of the best animators is SHIDA who has always worked in TOEI ANIMATION.
If I already know that Shida considers himself a freelancer and I found out that he said it in his twitter account, but he is always constantly working in Toei animation, he knows that he has also worked in other animes but they are very scarce.
