You should add setting fire to granaries in settlements so you can weaken a city long before a siege, If that isn't already a plan.
Can you imagine having all the same options as the assassin's had in Rome or medieval 2 total war?

I thought that's the type of cool things we would be able to do with setting up gangs in cities, so many years ago when we were first hearing about bannerlords. So much promised, so much let down
I love bannerlord, but taleworlds really need to compile features from various mods into the game proper, stuff like the criminal hideouts from fourberie, diplomatic options beyond declaring war and from diplomacy. For real it’s come so far and I’m so proud of the devs, but there’s so much work to go still. I’d love to be be able to have more than one clan member operating in different ways out of the same city, the best examples being a diplomat, (who could provide an interface for the complexities of diplomacy I.e. inviting foreign lords for shmoozing, negotiating defensive pacts and trade agreements) and a spymaster (who could provide an interface for for the complexities of roguery, I.e. assassinations, jailbreaks and summoning disloyal lords of enemy factions)
Maybe a dlc out of cut features. Tw properly abandoned the game after its initial launch 3 years ago, what a shame the game didnt end up what they shown and promised in 2017-18. Welp, this is the gaming industry now : market the game with cut features, dont bother adding them back, dont bother bug fixing, expect modders to finish the game for you, sell & profit.
@@orbit1894 I mean you are tripping man it has loads of different new features and they're still active making more, like Idk what game you've been playing, its come leaps and bounds since launch, with every new patch bringing fixes to various problems. They didn't market the game with cut features, they were pressured into releasing early because people wanted to play it. Its way better than what they showed in 2017/18 and much more thought out. The shit they suggested might be in it in at e3 2014 that didn't make it in is beyond a dead point because they've made a new engine since then. Taleworlds are a great company and have been killing it. we've had like 25 Patches, and over 75 bug fix updates so shut up about abandoned you moron.

Welp im an optimistic guy, so I'll wait to see what new they will bring. I hope I won't be so dissapointed like I was with Exanima...
I have a suggestion, if you kill a king or a queen, the enemy kingdom will have a higher chance of rebellion, due to the monarch falling and people panicking.

Your cutscenes look amazing and the feature is great!
Once you think that you have a good enough assassination system, it would be nice to be able to ask to the spy master to scout an enemy settlement (or a neutral one). By succeeding, he would give you all the information about this settlement in the encyclopedia for a period of time (number of troops, food stock, public order, etc) . Currently the information is hidden by the fog of war system. He could also reveal all of the information about the characters that were in the settlement while he was spying ! That's just an idea but it would be a nice addition to your mod I think 😃
Currently we don't have any feature to remove the "fog" of the fog of war other than talking yourself with EVERY character or scouting settlements yourself... With this, the fog of war would be much more fun to play with 🔥

Excellent work, BL has needed SPY / ASSASSINs since the start. Having a spy in the enemy camp is more important I feel, then you should be able to see enemy armies on the move.

Derthert, I just want to talk about the fiefs you didnt give me.
Good idea!
The spymaster needs to be able to locate enemy armies, sabotage supplies, poison food to get enemy troops wounded and incite rebellions on enemy towns doing stuff that will lower loyalty...
Also they could have infiltrates on enemy forts so tbey could burn ammo/siege engines, destroy food or open/burn the gates fot your troops to storm in and catch them by surprise...
There should be 3 types of spies, a normal spy, they should dedicate to locate/follow armies, specific lords and such, then the infiltrator, he could be good at getting inside towns/castles and should camouflate inside them either as a garrison/militia unit or a worker/citizen ( to balance this the longer he stays the higher chances he gets found out.)
And last the assassin, especialist at killing and kidnapping, either lords, notables or even normal troops.
These 3 types also could have 3 stages: cheap and low chance of success, balanced and medium success and costly but effective.
This idea you had could expand the game GREATLY, if you want more stuff they could do check the main quest from either istiana or arzagos to get a grast of what a spymaster could do.

I've been off from Bannerlord for a while now, only really keeping tabs on it thanks to your channel.
And this mod is the right kind of stuff Bannerlord needs to give the political part of the game the depth it needs so much, just imagine mods with a similar structure and animations to handle political intrigue and court shenanigans, from simple petty deals between the commoners under your care as their lord to the machinations of your vassals trying to one up each other ala lite version of Crusader Kings
Banner Kings is the most ambitious attempt at such things you mentioned. You should check it out ! I’ve used it with about fifteen other mods and I rarely crash, no more than normal really 😂

Just a suggestion, make the mod a curse too, everyday you have like a 5% chance of an assassination attempt in which you’ll then have a decision to fight the assassin or run or whatever and like if your spy gets caught it raises up by like 25% and goes down weekly. Or there’s a random npc that spawns in whenever you do a walk around town or something and if you end up walking near his location he goes in for the kill, (probably the easier one to script) Just a roughdraft with a couple examples but you get the idea

Absolutely amazing. But I’d love for u or anyone to work on adding this kind of depth and immersion to diplomacy and ruling/decision making. We need more visual, more ability to select actions- like what you’re doing here. Love it!

Well for the cinematic stuff I used cinematic camera and RTS Camera but both seem to be outdated now!

Can you add a feature where you dress the assassin in the colors of another faction so if he gets caught the relationship between the assassin's color's faction and those who caught him worsen. If he gets caught and rats then both factions declare war on you.

Bannerlord is so great. But it seems like a platform that SO much can be built upon and been made deport and fleshed out. I hope Taleworlds really DLCs the heck out of it.

If I'd torture anyone, it would be garios or raganvad. They are the most aggressive kings and highly annoying when you want peace for once in your kingdom that your a vassal or king as.

Hey Artem, I love your bannerlord mod show cases, and I'm glad to see that you're trying your hand at modding, especially with a very immersive mod that I definitely plan to use. I do have a question about it. With this mod, are you able to use it as a lord to black mail/ force another lord to vote for you or side with you on a decision to go to war or separate from the kingdom for example, if they prove stubborn or loyal. or even to convince them to allow you to marry a member of their family?
Great Idea, attacking workshops, poisoning the Grain stores of a city, Hiring Bandit Groups to attack Merchants on a certain route, really widens the options, also more people in court (spymaster, courtesan, torturer/s) could flesh out your somewhat empty throne room. I know its a battle simulator but adding reasons to creep around your city (maybe for the mission you could play the assassin character seeking past Guards to the target) can only be a good thing.(Courtesan options could be info on intended battle/war declarations or letting you know of a juicy target like treasure being taken from 1 city to another) looking forward to the MOD
1. Can the prisoner have a ragged tunic instead? There's something a bit humorous about it. Unless you're into that kinda stuff
2. Cherry on top would be custom clothes for the spymaster. think dark brotherhood. He could be the iconic piece of this mod that everyone remembers.
If there's a mod that adds assassin like clothing to bannerlord feel free to link it :-D
I've literally been daydreaming about pretty much this exact mod for a while and I'm glad to see you've made it! It's a little eerie that you put in the different potential outcomes I also daydreamed about but I guess it just goes to show that a lot of bannerlord players are looking for the same things. How are you able to make these animations? Is it in the modding tools? Think you might be able to create a spear and shield holding animation that changes the sh8 spear and shield animations that are currently in game and instead they hold both upright like m2tw?
The animations are all in the game already, I'll just create the containers for them. Creating a spear and shield animation would be out of the scope of this mod but I can look into it in the future too, since today I learned how to import custom animations into the game

Be cool if you could just scare a faction leader so bad he won't ever declare war on the other hand if he dies of old age in battle or whatever the new ruler can find out and declare war on you and stay at war with you

No way you send an assassin with your banner on him. Snitching yes depends on loyalty, maybe recognising an accent too?
I would put it like that : assassination would cost large amounts of influence dependence on who you are killing for example killing a king will cost something like 5k and the stronger the army it will cost more, you need to hire a good assassin in your party the better the assassin’s it will cost less influence

how about a 'remove manhood' option? this would stop the individual from having more offspring and growing their clan, but could kill them through bloodloss and obviously gives a huge penalty to relation
