I don’t blame you one bit for adding a winch. When we had the Norwood Manuel mill I mounted a Reese hitch to the underside of the mill and made a upward pole with a winch on it to load and roll the log. Worked great. Good job You guys…
Good morning Brent. There are no Chestnut in my area, it sure looks hard and a little slower to mill. I think once you upgrade to an electric winch you'll be turning/rotating the logs much faster. Happy Milling!

Thanks for stopping by Paul. Those are sometimes called Rock Oak because they grow well on poor ground and we have a lot of that.
