It's not, it's just the way it turned out this time. Many times we think we see patterns when it's just the outcome of the randomness, even though it may not appear random at the time.
I really like the Progressive feature and wonder what you give up in exchange for that! As you say, this one is a clone of Indian Dreaming and Pompeii with regard to the base game, anyway!
