The toxicity of venom depends on
how much( quantity) injected and how far .potent ( quality) it is.! The
King Cobra of Elapidae familyinjec ts enormous (600 mgms.) venom. in a single bite . Eventhough the
potential of venom is low compa red to common cobra the death.is imminent as the venom injected is in high volume. The Common Krait of Elapidae family is also venomous despite it's length fang venomous glands are so so small compared to.others. these defeciencies are compensated with highly potent neurotoxic ve nom.!

Drop per drop Monocled/ Monocellate Cobras (Naja Kaouthia) are more venomous than the rest of the four. Moreover the King Cobras (Ohiophagus Hanna) are not true cobras. They are more closely related to the Krait(Bungarus) species and Mambas(Dendrospis) family. Should have replaced that with the Forest Cobras (Naja Maneleouca) which are second to the Monocled Cobras in terms of venom toxicity among the above mentioned cobras. And finally the Banded Water Cobras (Naja Annuleta), Congo Water Cobras (Naja Christi), the Caspian Cobras (Naja Oxiana) , the Phillipine Cobras (Naja Phillipines) and the Samar Cobras (Naja Samarnesis) are more toxic than all the five above mentioned serpents. The Siamese Cobras(Naja Siamensis) are at least more venomous than the Spectacled Cobras( Naja Naja),the Cape Cobras (Naja Nivea) and some of the specimens of the Egyptian Cobras (Naja Haje).
