Would have been cool if the show had a creation myth story that showed the making of Arda and the two lanterns. The first song giving birth to the world and all the life within, then the elves. Then Morgoth, in his jealousy destroys the lanterns and spills them causing a reshaping of the land, then we see the two trees.

Peter Jackson changed a lot of stuff making the LotR and Hobbit, but in terms of translating book to film, most of Tolkien fans, apart from the puritans of course, accepted that with that translation, some stuff would have to be cut or rearranged to fit into that setting. Such a shame that the music and plot are not on the same level.

I liked the dwarves in the series. and the elven visuals and structures and costumes were done really well. Im used to the long hair but i could let the short hair slide. Galadriel was a bit annoying and very show offy. i didnt like that. But the music is where it is at its best. I really got a sense of Middle Earth from the music!

I liked alot of things from the series, also didnt like some stuff too. But over all it was enjoyable for me and looking forward to S2. If you didnt like it thats fine. Dont watch it then lol. You still have the books and movies to enjoy :)
