I do not look at this as culture, but as democracy. Democracy works that way, it does not matter much if you agree or disagree, what matters is the outcomes of democracy.
Yes in our tradition and culture sex is a very private issue, unless there is rape involved. However, the perception of gays in this instance is highly influenced by the western tradition amd culture as stated in the Bible. The rejection of gays is based on a Christian traditon, and many times it was emphasized in the Ugandan parliament when the bill was introduced.
All agree with is that Ugandans have the right ti reject or adopt laws like any other country and they must not be coerced or bullied to act against their democratic results. On this point agree fully with Maponga.
