- Brean is a village and civil parish between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset, England. The name is derived from "Bryn" Brythonic and Modern Welsh for a hill and it has a population of 635.
Close to the village is Brean Down, a promontory standing 320 feet (98 m) high and extending 1.5 miles (2.4 km) into the Bristol Channel, on which stands Brean Down Fort, marking the end of Weston Bay.
The village is on a strip of land between the sea and the River Axe. It is the home of Brean Leisure Park, a tropical bird garden, other tourist attractions and several caravan parks. The sandy beach has been used for land sailing since 1970. Sometimes, Brean can also be linked with the nearby village, Berrow so the villages can also be called Berrow & Brean.

I went a couple of times, in 2003 and again in 2007, and spent many an hour, and loads of 2ps, on those same machines :D
Amazing it's been around for so long! It did feel like it though, a little dated but we love that!:)
@@TuppenceBros They've changed up the way you put money in the machines now though. Back then, it was just the three slots in the top, in which you rammed as many 2p's in as you could before the shelf pushed them off,,lol.
The prizes in these machines remind me of when I used to play on them in Blackpool in the 2010s 😅 going through an arcade binge at the moment & love your videos ❤

Yayyy I'm so glad you wenttt! Absalute blast to watch. I grew up going to brean as a child and I loved every moment of the arcades there. I'm going there next month and I'm so excited. ❤❤

Yet another great vlog guys! U won quite a lot! Later this week, I am going to a place called old penny lane in York. It is very similar to that arcade that u guys visited in Great Yarmouth. I think it will be a blast and worth every penny! 😂❤
One of the arcades was really good. I have just googled it, never new it existed but does look like it had recently opened. We will definitely have to check it out. They are allot of fun, even more so I imagine if your a little older and used to play on those sort on machines in the past. We hope you have a great time!:)
Never mind, we went to go to old penny lane today and they were taking all of the machines out?!?! Not sure if they’ve closed or are moving location 😢

I don’t get it spending on these machines you could easily spend a fiver just to win a prize worth 10p or doesn’t that matter a win is a win.
There's many answers, it's very nostalgic, affordable fun, it gives us content to share with people that enjoy watching it. I am a primary school children and the children get the things I win as Prizes which they love, It is very satisfying. Hope that answers some of the reasons why:)
