Eyes glued to what beyond the gates lie. Death hummed in thought. For she, like her husband, has seen the mortal realm in its darkest. Where tempation birth sin... pain... and with it, virtue. Life warned the child, "Beyond there, fate decides your well-being." Death continued, "Your will shall end tragically." "Or it may not," the child told Death and Life as she held both their hands. "Won't it be worth it?" "That shall be yours to decide," Life answered. Death held the child to her embrace. A gentle smile on her lips as she whispered the child's name, "Vow." Vow turned her head to her mother. A mother's eyes reflected in them, gently and beautifully like the night sky. Death whispered her advice, "Stay true." Life took the child from Death's embrace. One arm carried Vow and another gently held Death' cold hand. He kissed the child's forehead. His power manifested the child's soul, awaiting its vessel. Murmuring his advice as her soul drifted away. "For the realm is full of lies."

So... I came back to this after two years and while listening to this I was thinking about another story, and, oh boy, it is different from the previous one. And before I start, I am currently crying my eyeballs out for some reason. "The heroes return home after a war that lasted well over a decade. They decided they would visit each of their homes and meet each other's family. The last member to be visited was the arcane warrior. From what the squad knows, he had a wife which he hasn't met since the war started. They got to his mansion, it front of it, a young beautiful young lady was waiting for their arrival. - Dad, she shouted from the front of the gate. 'What...' could be heard as a murmur among the squad members. The reason being quite obvious. They all loked at the arcane warrior, which had a sad look on his face. He turned to them and said: - Yeah, that's my dear daughter. - Wait, wait... I know you are specialised in magical warfare, but this is something fundamentally wrong, both mathematically and biologically, said someone in the group. While saying this, a woman exits the house to welcome the guests. - I see you have used the bottle of sperm I have send you 10 years ago, said the arcane warrios to the woman that just exited the house. She started laughing. The bewildered looks on the group's member made the warrior crack up, ending in him collapsing to the ground, laugh crying. - You actually believed that, you bunch of morons?! he asked while trying to regain his composure."
Gosh...speechless and in complete awe and admiration of such magnificent music...the emotion, the soul, the spirit...beautifully flows as a singular symphony of epic proportions beyond all greatness. I can't get enough of Japanese composers and their indescribable brilliance in merging music directly with the soul without hesitation.

I just cried listening to this. It was the first time in a long time. I'm currently in a pretty rough situation at the moment, and listening to this allowed me to really get in touch with pain that I didn't even know was there, and allowed healing that I didn't know I even needed. Needless to say, thank you to Sawano-san for creating this beautiful music, but also thank you for uploading it.

Reality is... that which can't be explained and death is the simple yet inevitable end... an unavoidable fate. All that comes between life and death isn't entirely belonging to either light nor darkness. You see... life is a dance of god and the devil, of light and of darkness. Nothing will be entirely happy, and nothing will be entirely sad. Death is a release to some and a curse to others, and life is a curse to some and release to others. Reality is... whatever you make of it. If you are stuck between a rock and a hard place then so be it. Happiness can be obtained here... where we are now so... why ever leave this place? Well yeah... because there is no choice. But if you live your life... if only to dream once again than that's not so bad... right?

We know there are no other lands besides our own..._ _Our land may be small but that’s ok with us. Each day is lived to the fullest, no one has any regrets here... well, almost._ _My friend claims that the lands we read about in our books are real, along with the special gates. She said her father taught her that before he passed..._ _She seemed determined to figure out how to open one of these gates and travel to a different land..._ “But what’s the point of doing that?” My Blue eyes staring at her brown eyes with an annoyed expression. “There’s nothing we could possibly need in those lands.” She replied, her eyes burning with conviction. “Are you sure? There’s no way to tell, not unless we try.” This was after many other times of trying to convince each other we were right. I replied. “If you can find a reason, I’ll help you with this... ok?” Her eyes lit up and a smile crossed her face, her brown hair fell onto her face obscuring her vision as she stood. “You shouldn’t crouch on you toes like that while your wearing a dress, the back will get all dirty.” I remarked. “You sound like my mom” she said as she walked back into the main building we all lived in. “You coming?” She said as she turned around. “Yeah I’m right behind you...” _That was a three years ago, we were young then. She was thirteen and I was fourteen, she never found a real reason besides that she could prove the lands existed... of course I didn’t accept that as an answer, she always talked about it though... and then her reason came._ _A sickness struck and our small town began to fade away, everyone slowly losing the strength to work. Strangely we were unaffected..._ “Now we have to go!” She was holding back tears, her mother had just caught the sickness. “You’re right, we have no choice now... let’s try and open the gate.” _We spent weeks figuring out how to get this working. Pouring over her fathers old books and journals, eventually we figured it out. You needed someone of special blood to open it, and someone of normal blood to close it. If it remained open it would slowly become a black hole so it was important to close it quickly. The special blood was her family line..._ _The day came when we would open the gate. We walked together and I began to feel tired, I ignored it and continued walking with her. The plan was for her to open the gate and for us both to enter, having someone else close it behind us._ “Get ready! I’m opening the gate!” A crowd of people who could had gathered to see us off. We all watched in awe as the gate opened, revealing another land in the distance. You could see a castle from here... but then I collapsed. “Are you ok? What’s wrong?” She worriedly began to examine me. Groaning I answered, “I’m fine, but I think I finally caught the sickness” I said it with a smile on my face to try and keep her from worrying too much. But she was holding back tears... “I can’t do this alone! Your supposed to come with me! I mean, we’ve always been together right? What happens if I fail? Everyone will-“ “You’ll be fine.” I said in a sharp voice, a look of determination in my eyes. “There’s no one else I’d rather put my trust in then you, not to mention my life.” She took a deep breath... “I’ll be back soon. Ok?” I answered. “I’m counting on it...” _I watched as she began to step into the gate, after she stepped through I closed it behind her, and all I could do now was wait and hope she finds a cure..._ The Gate A Short Story Authors note. But hearing that someone enjoyed my story enough to ask for a continuation...It put a huge smile on my face. Not only will I keep working on the three books I want to write, but I'll make a continuation of this story. Thank you for giving me the incentive I needed to keep going.

_Long ago they say gates connected the lands, that you could travel between these gates and reach the different lands in seconds. Of course, those are just legends... Now. We know there are no other lands besides our own..._
_Our land may be small but that’s ok with us. Each day is lived to the fullest, no one has any regrets here... well, almost._
_My friend claims that the lands we read about in our books are real, along with the special gates. She said her father taught her that before he passed..._
_She seemed determined to figure out how to open one of these gates and travel to a different land..._ “But what’s the point of doing that?” My Blue eyes staring at her brown eyes with an annoyed expression. “There’s nothing we could possibly need in those lands.” She replied, her eyes burning with conviction. “Are you sure? There’s no way to tell, not unless we try.” This was after many other times of trying to convince each other we were right.
I replied. “If you can find a reason, I’ll help you with this... ok?” Her eyes lit up and a smile crossed her face, her brown hair fell onto her face obscuring her vision as she stood. “You shouldn’t crouch on you toes like that while your wearing a dress, the back will get all dirty.” I remarked. “You sound like my mom” she said as she walked back into the main building we all lived in. “You coming?” She said as she turned around. “Yeah I’m right behind you...”
_That was a three years ago, we were young then. She was thirteen and I was fourteen, she never found a real reason besides that she could prove the lands existed... of course I didn’t accept that as an answer, she always talked about it though... and then her reason came._
_A sickness struck and our small town began to fade away, everyone slowly losing the strength to work. Strangely we were unaffected..._ “Now we have to go!” She was holding back tears, her mother had just caught the sickness. “You’re right, we have no choice now... let’s try and open the gate.” _We spent weeks figuring out how to get this working. Pouring over her fathers old books and journals, eventually we figured it out. You needed someone of special blood to open it, and someone of normal blood to close it. If it remained open it would slowly become a black hole so it was important to close it quickly. The special blood was her family line..._
_The day came when we would open the gate. We walked together and I began to feel tired, I ignored it and continued walking with her. The plan was for her to open the gate and for us both to enter, having someone else close it behind us._
“Get ready! I’m opening the gate!” A crowd of people who could had gathered to see us off. We all watched in awe as the gate opened, revealing another land in the distance. You could see a castle from here... but then I collapsed.
“Are you ok? What’s wrong?” She worriedly began to examine me. Groaning I answered, “I’m fine, but I think I finally caught the sickness” I said it with a smile on my face to try and keep her from worrying too much. But she was holding back tears... “I can’t do this alone! Your supposed to come with me! I mean, we’ve always been together right? What happens if I fail? Everyone will-“ “You’ll be fine.” I said in a sharp voice, a look of determination in my eyes. “There’s no one else I’d rather put my trust in then you, not to mention my life.” She took a deep breath... “I’ll be back soon. Ok?” I answered. “I’m counting on it...”
_I watched as she began to step into the gate, after she stepped through I closed it behind her, and all I could do now was wait and hope she finds a cure..._

But hearing that someone enjoyed my story enough to ask for a continuation...It put a huge smile on my face. Not only will I keep working on the three books I want to write, but I'll make a continuation of this story. Thank you for giving me the incentive I needed to keep going.
