This was a very experimental album but if you follow DH it looks like their going back to their acoustic roots. This is a great sound though!! The album's great and includes both great techno and acoustic sounds!

Just saw them the other night with Sublime with Rome and always one of the best shows. The people “fans” of DH are always the coolest people yo just talk to and hang with welcome friends
Everyone was like woah woah woah when this album came out because it was different from their previous albums. Now this is arguably their best album to date. Burn Slow, Medusa, Silence, and Franko Eyed are three of their best live songs.

i personally love what The Dirty Heads have turned into. the old classic acoustic DH are still my favorite but this new shit definitely rocks.
This whole album takes a minute to appreciate. But after a few listens, it slays. And the boys will kill these tracks live. They've always been a group that goes all out on stage.
The whole point of this album was to do something that they knew not everyone would love, they are creating music that they love to make and thats all that should matter.
Techs verse is the shit; so proud of what he's done.

All you haters must have never heard Hip Hop Misfits, Morning Light, Check the Level, Mongo Push, My Headphones etc This still sounds like Dirty Heads to me. I am digging it.
Those songs your listed have both awesome lyrics/rapping AND awesome music. This track has AMAZING rapping - and the music? it's just awful. Repetitive, simple, and straight-up annoying. Sounded like a casio on repeat. My only hope would be for a live version with some actual music behind that rapping.

guys, I think you're all missing the point, the albums name is SOUND OF CHANGE, and they did an interview saying "we are changing our sound, we've done the summer smoking weed relaxing, we are done with that we are changing our sound and we are the most excited about this album then we have been about our past ones, our true fans will follow and see this still as our style" they knew they would lose fans, but the people who like them no matter what, becasue who they are and the message they send, and the music they produce will stick around, I am a fan, my favorite band is 311, i get the reggae feel, but the one thing i wish 311 had was more rap from SA, so this is actaully good for me. but i agree tech 9 did not need to be in this song. but lets be honest neither did del the funky homosapian need to be in smoke rings. this song is good cause its still well produced and Jarrod and Duddy are still creating the same sound they always did with their voices. just changing it up a little bit, and lets all be honest at first we dont like change but then we begin to accept it. everyone who down voted this is still going to buy/download the album. you all know it so stop hating on these guys they are doing something different thats a bold move, and respect them for still producing good music. sound of change and my sweet summer still have that great dirty heads feel, but they are the ones writing the music, not you. if you dont like it don't buy it, I know i will be buying it still.

How can anyone say this isn't the dirty heads man. Any Port in a Storm had rap, reggae, hip hop, rap, and fuckin everything i can think of. They went to more of an acoustic and reggae influence in Cabin and Phantoms, but now their expanding on some of their even earlier stuff. DH cant be contained by one style/genre of music! Having said that, i still dont think i'll like this album as much as Cabin, but keep doin you DH

How long have you been listening to dirty heads? When i think of songs likeStand Tall, I Got No Time For Yall, Easy or Chelsea, and i hear this... Its absolutely not the same. I really cannot relate to music like this.
Divert but then you can listen to songs like Insomnia, Headphones, and Sails to the Winds. I love all of their songs, no matter which style it is in. I don'y really hear a Pop influence in this song, unless they mean mean repeating the hook. and the Rap part and Dance part can be merged into a Trapstyle Hiphop.
Idk, if i go into a club or flip on the most mainstream radio in my city. This is the kind of music i hear, it all sounds the exact same. They're now a spit portait of it. I say they sound like wiz khalifa mixed with Drake on the chorus. Anyway, its their choice the direction they take but i am certain they will lose alot of fans who were into their reggae-rap music, not dance/pop.

Honestly I am very satisfied with this album. Dirty Heads took a huge step in a direction that most artists wouldn't dream of doing. I'm happy they are exploring new musical opportunities.
This reminds me of Lonely One a little bit. You can definitely tell there's autotune in this song. Whoever that really fast rapper was at the end, really awesome...of the 4 songs I've heard from this album, I'd rank this one 3rd behind End of the World.
