The reason that there are no crash animations is because plane crashes/accidents are a serious topic, which shall not be joked about. A lot of people have fear getting into one, even though the possibility is very smal compared to other transportation options. The lack of crash-animations, physics or visual effecs is also meant to not encouragre players / content creators, replaying catastrophic events like 9/11 for example
That would be cool if they implemented the crash animation and then it tells you the survivalist chance of the crash. So for example "You crashed into water, chances of survivability: 60%"

Swiss you shouldn't forget this game is out for like 3 days now. You keep compaining stuff isn't good about the game like the animations and such. But these are things that will be added throughout the existence of fs2020
Usually every flight simulator I've ever played either it be civilian/ game types to commercial training sims all the way to military sims usually all never have fires or realistic crashes /damage . Even military simulators that do have them it's usually just a cheesey crash animation. Almost like the batman boom animation lol .
MSF2020: We have everything from amazing graphics to ultra realistic weather, planes, and physics. Also MSF2020: We dont have crashes... or barely and animations for them... and our already minimal amount of failures suck
Miscrosoft Flight Simulator should add an emergency mode. That way if you crash in water, land, etc, the doors open and the emergency slides come out. Instead of a "You crashed." screen.
3:00 maybe the same reason because some racing games dont have destroyable cars because the cars are real licensed cars and the manufacturer of these cars dont want their cars to be destructible?
@Swiss001- there is no damage model or crash engine because Microsoft partnered with companies like Airbus to build the most accurate models of modern aircraft and unfortunately the companies asked Microsoft to not let their aircraft get damaged in game.. I'm sure you understand- Microsoft doesn't want unfavourable attention of people recreating 9/11 type scenarios and putting them on UA-cam; especially with these extremely realistic graphics. However in the future you may be able to get mods that model damage- hopefully!
Hate me all you want, but I think other than the graphics, X-Plane 11 is better. I feel like X-Plane 11 has more features such as more failures, better crash/failure animations, replay, if you crash you don’t automatically go back to the menu, etc.
Michael tbh other than simulators such as MSFS, X-Plane, Train sim world, planet coaster, etc, I don’t really like video games. I’d much rather do something else. Don’t get me wrong, I love flight simulators, but to me they are good for different things. MSFS is great for full flights or trips because there are great graphics and really well made planes, and X-Plane 11 is good for challenges or attempting something because there is replay mode and you don’t get brought back to the home screen if you crash. Just my opinion.
So I would just point out that you can turn off the crash thing, so when you do a water landing for example then u just do a normal water landing, and it won't stop you from playing
If you don't want the black screen on crash, just turn off crash damage. You will still impact with the ground, it will just not immediately end your flight if you do so.
Hey Swiss, question, does the auto pilot for you work? When I turn it on it goes the wrong way from my destination and when I turn it off my engines cut off, cant turn them back on. And gear won’t go down. Have all failures disabled.
I hate that they don't let you see your plane break apart by it only going to a black screen it takes the fun of seeing what you over stressed. And I wish they make fire and fuel leak show. Like they do in x-plane!!!

Microsoft flight simulator was going so well till it came to replays, crashes, and engine/plane issues
and many airframe/physics issues, Msfs is very good with small planes and vfr but xplane/p3d are still a lot better with bigger planes and flying ifr.

In reality, in Mataveri Intl, you land by the otherside, and the 787 flown there is the 787-9

You can actually turn off the crash damage in the setting and you can also use the developer mode to turn it on or off in real time
