This interview compared to how everything changed in 2016 is night and day difference. They were respectful at least in this but once the media turned against him you never saw anything like this again
One exception to that is when he called to offer moral support to one of his biggest fans who was dying from cancer at the time. I think CBS (of all networks, I know) aired it in 2018

I’m a Liberal and not a Trump supporter but I really liked his humanity in this video. This was the first time I saw him as a regular person. He mentioned about how he wakes up at 5 am and prepares his day. He seemed real casual and I was impressed.

@@Thomas-oj6sm I grew up as an adult while he was in the news for 20+ years... he's the least racist person in politics, he worked with a LOT of black leaders, and was a personal good friend of Oprah. But now CNN tells you he turned racist on Thursday, and nobody thinks for themselves. 🙄

@James W He don't believe in science. He thinks the world will just get cooler on its own. He called white supremacy as "Proud Boys. " He doesn't care abt the riots that are happening. The wildfires that are also happening, he doesn't care. The 200,000 deaths from the delay shutdown. He tried to slow down testing so other countries won't see the cases rising when we need the testing. He is threw tear gas at riots so he can pose for a bible in front of a church.
