This was one of my favorite duels to date! Don't think I've seen a deck pop off like that in a long time. And for Moraug, if you drop the lands on the first main phase, you get the additional combats before your actual combat, so you untap all your creatures during each time, and then after your actual combat, you go to your main phase 2 Then, if you drop more lands on main phase 2, your turn ends after the extra combats activated on main phase 2. So it would've been more ridiculous lol Great game guys, was so fun to watch!
NGL this was a banger. I love budget vids, just to see the cool brews. I was thinking of doing a cascade brew and this got me hyped. I love cascade in Prosper since he gets tokens off the triggers. Tatsu is fun for the diversity in play style, but I like light paws for the card advantage.
That cascade was insane but I am currently working on building light paws after watching how bonkers it could possibly get. This channel is so much fun. Joined in since AFR games. It’s just people playing magic and it’s fun to watch and background listen to.
First time seeing the channel. I want to do both Light paws and Averna so I found this video. Awesome game, great example of enjoying the game and helping each other when needed. Subscribed and will def check out more content. Thanks guys.
Awesome game. A reminder that Mind's Desire doesn't let you ignore timing restrictions. So you have to do all the exiles first and then you may cast those exiled spells as normal without paying their costs
@@MTGTheStack "worth the drive" may sound impressive, but Pandemonium Games & Hobbies, on Middlebelt Rd across from city hall, is only 20ish minutes from work.
Man the Light-Paws player made an absurdly bad misplay by not blocking. The Light-Paws is double pro-creature and has life-link and has gift of immortality and the method to screw his Pariah play was on the board. There was absolutely zero reason to not block and get the free life while also killing one of the biggest threats on the elf-ball player's board. I honestly don't understand what he was even thinking with that play. It would be one thing if it had been Krosen Grip or something but the enchantment destruction was literally on board. Just take the free life and kill his biggest dude. A cheap stax build would have probably gotten him way farther as well. IMO Light-Paws is enough of an engine by himself that he doesn't actually need aura support creatures at all. Dropping just Umbra mystic and Hall of Heliod's generosity would have gotten you enough money for all the cheap powerful Stax options. Drop a rule of law on that ass. Edit: The Tatsunari player probably misplayed hard by targeting pariah to begin with. He should have waited to get rid of the pariah until after the Light-Paws player alpha'ed the elf-ball and cascade. The Tatsunari player was the smallest threat and could have politic'd the White-paws players into killing the others in return for not destroying pariah. The elf-ball was by far the most dominant position on board at the time and it would take the White-paws 3 turns at minimum to win while the cascade and elf-ball had the potential to go off and kill everyone at any time. (which is exactly what ended up happening) That 3 full turns would may have been enough for him to come up with a solution.
Budget my ass lol! This is by far the best episode and game I've watched it was totally nuts. Great job guys! So when can we see Varina make an appearance again. She's my favorite commander that you play would love to see her in action again.
Well🤔.....Foley is Legend!!!! 🙏. I like how everyone was helping Foley with his madness except Toad Master 🐸. Haha! That's why Guy is a badass!🤘. Saddled up the toad 🐸 and hopped away from the cascade jamming *For Whom the Toad tolls*🤘. Quite honestly you guys are the absolute best! I enjoy watching this channel religiously! Always remember...Terror of the Toad!🐸.
Foleys cascade deck reminds me of mine besides I use Animar for my commander so the more I cascade the cheaper it it gets and there are some crazy ways to go infinite
I'm sitting here like trying to contemplate existence because this video was made 6 months ago and yet Foley is over here playing Unfinity basics...like what even
holy shit those triggers gave me a headache lol and damn those elves fucked calvin up big time i love how both our elf decks get shit done i recently rebuilt her to not combo but be a much more fun deck that shits out more tokens then my kranko deck i always ask my playgroup do you want to fight kranko with all the haste in the world or kranko that ramps like a mofo
I have made a budget deck Strong like a cedh deck. It wins always In turn 4 or 6 (without interaction against) and as no tutor. Does anyone want to see it?
4-6 is strong, but not cedh unless you employ stax and free interaction to keep others from popping off. I'd be interested to see what it is. Always fun seeing new brews
22:15 should have not help the elf player out , the enchantment player could have negotiated with the light paw to help him out if he takes out the elf player and the cascade player. at the end he lost? i don't understand why nobody uses commander politics.
I think that the reasoning there was : as sultai I can try to boardwipe the elves , but I won't be able to beat a ""boggle"" pile and for sure I won't be able to beat pariah. The elves player was pretty ahead indeed tho
As you could see. Cascade is busted... More lower the budget of the group. more busted it becomes. Even if you made $50 budget cascade. Most of it cascade cards are cheap asf
JESUS CHRIST!? THAT CASCADE SEQUENCE WAS INSANE!?
I love when games get to the point when your opponents help you pilot your deck lolol.
Foley's deck is everything I wish my Averna deck had been able to do 😆 but I went super budget, so... that was great to watch!
This was one of my favorite duels to date! Don't think I've seen a deck pop off like that in a long time.

You guys successfully made a chaotic Game Knights. xD. I love this so much.
A less cringe Game Knights. Important distinction.
@@DraconisMarchVII yes!"
@@DraconisMarchVII cough salt cough
@@DCDragoCraft You know I'm right, fanboy.
@@DraconisMarchVII my man I don’t want this much salt and anger on my popcorn
Foley forgot that Sunbirds triggers twiice off of Rishkars Expertise because the second part of rishkar casts the spell from your hand

This is the best commander channel for real
Light Paws should have blocked regardless during the big elf ball swing. Lifelink woulda been nice. Don’t think it would have saved him though.
For sure would have. Could have gained him the life he needed as well as protect against additional damage. He for sure should have won
Man, that last turn of the game made me laugh HYSTERICALLY so many times xDDD Real good stuff as always guys!
I can't watch it in the background. I need to watch it for the best experience. The decks look really fun!
Ohhh you're in for a fun one my dude. Stare with your special eyes
I can’t watch anything in the background, I’m all eyes and ears or not at all
god that final turn was something else... i'm SO here for it!!!
My first time watching your content, and I was not ready for that intro. Lol love it. Hooked.
*Feeling called out as this runs in the background while I build decks*
Lol that is my kind of cascade deck. Foley's going to love the list I sent in.
That cascade was insane but I am currently working on building light paws after watching how bonkers it could possibly get.
This channel is so much fun. Joined in since AFR games. It’s just people playing magic and it’s fun to watch and background listen to.
*Turn 4* -- "Sweet take 4, I'mma draw 2 cards". Calvin: "Helllyeahh" lmao that made me chuckle.
That ending was nuts. You kept track of that a lot better than I could. Thank you.
Guy's head is brighter than my future.
Foley just went beast mode!!!
but it happens in cascade decks haha
I really enjoy these Budget games :-) thank you.
Majestic and acrobatic thumbnail makes me unusually excited for a video with green in it.

Heyyyy welcome!! I'm glad you liked it buddy
It’s such a great feeling when you find multiple commanders you really like in the same match
Love the content and agree with guy watching while driving is the best
Fire, I was planning to build sedris next but I think I have to do the alverna thing
AVERNA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
That's a misplay on the Light paw's player as he had first strike and lifelink which he would of survived combat from the elves
27:43. Moraug let’s you untap your dudes for the additional combat steps Calvin. Geeze. Lol
I only can stare into your souls through my main monitor, full attention activated
Ohh dear, I do love having your full a t t e n t i o n

Same with aminataou’s augury
Averna is sooo much fun! I built it on a european budget of €100 and it does pretty much the same as Foley‘s.
Listening to this during my set, thank you
Can anybody tell me what lands the cascade deck is using?
Unfinity lands
Picked up both Pando exclusive playmats this week. Definitely worth the drive.
Oh wow, I hope you enjoy buddy! Thanks for the support

im studying for my PE with this in the background
I built Foley's Averna deck and it's pretty solid. Only change I made was turning Cultivator into Terror of the Peaks.
Loving the animations!

That… was…AWESOME!!

Yay! Budget games!
I love my Averna deck. But after seeing this I see it may be time for a revision.
What in the.. hrm..
I may need to build my $40 infinity list.. it might stand a chance.
i feel like i'd have an aneurysm trying to pilot a cascade deck like that LMAO

aww yeah
I would be so furious about myself after that misplay, when the lightpaws player went out - but shit happens 😀
Funny enough he still missed like 2 SBI triggers which would have netted him 2 more spells. Cascade is so fun and degenerate i love it.
I love it in my prosper deck
Yo can I get that Temur decklist
The link is in the description. Just gotta scroll down a bit you'll see it.

I mean the seal was on the battle field would be stupid not to block
He would have died anyway to be fair, I could have pumped twice
RIP Cascade Deck Link :(
Thats was certainly a pile of cards. Foley’s last turn could be called nothing else.
He loves him a fat pile
As a Killian stan I take offense to the pregame Killian slander 😡
That wasn't a cascade deck; it was a Khone Phapheng Falls deck. Jesus Christ.

Cheap and nobody is playing expensive interaction to punish huge mana expenditures or cheap removal.
He didn't get the message...he thought u said bring a cedh deck to table ? So many thing went on that turn ,throw rule zero out the window lol
Just found y'all, wanted to sub to the channel but damn at the flicking of cards is too much. And for that reason, I'm out
