Despite the Argerich-Economou rendition's being a DG recording, the sound is very percussive, and the approach strangely stilted, with no flow or direction. Excellent piano-playing nevertheless.
Ashkenazy had the most volcano colorful piano sound! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Argerich=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Grigory Sokolov! More genius than Argerich=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Stanislav Bunin Maria Grinberg Murray Perahia Alexei Lubimov Dinu Lipatti Stanislav Igolinsky! More powerful louder than Argerich=Mikhail Pletnev! The Second Loudest ever was Lazar Berman! The 3rd Loudest was Erwin Nyiregyhazi! Horowitz his technique attack better than Argerich's technique!!

I like the generational separation: Vladimir has paper music and Vovka a tablet 🙂
Thank you! A delight on many levels.
Funny to watch and to listen father & son performing: Vovka uses the iPad and Vladimir the printed Score....
Rachmaninoff at his best and played by two wizards.
This isnt a performance, it is a competition between page turners, and the IPAD gets the Trophy!!!
Bravo Vovka!!!!
There is a version of it called robot oeuf
Where?

True to form, awfully percussive. Compare with the Martha Argerich - Nicolas Economou reading, which has a considerably better sound.
