Loved the close ups which made me appreciate the plumage of the Gadwall in particular, a duck I have always described as a 'black ended duck'. the little Grebe was a favourite. Trust you are over your cold and await you Nature notebook. great start to 2024.
Wonderful Graham, displaying true winter grit there. The 'pinwheeling' from the shoveler is a collaborative feeding strategy, they stir up matter then come back around and filter it whilst dabbling. Have seen groups of 20+ in one 'wheel' before but as yet I have still captured it myself. Fantastic watch, always a joy when a new NN lands 👌Si.
Nice one Graham. Crazy weather lately! Happy New Year to you mate Fascinated by the Shoveller displays and enjoyed seeing that close up of the Gadwall Beautiful little Stonechats, love them. Have a good week ahead mate 👍👍
Always a pleasure to watch your videos Graham. Hope your cold recedes quickly and your croaky voice recovers sharpish. All the best and keep up the good work! 👍🙂👍
