- Hello Everybody!
Welcome to my Channel. For today's video I wanted to tour you through my property. I live on about 3.5 acres, and I am so excited to build a garden!! There's only a small area that I've landscaped, so I thought it'd be fun to show you around and share all of my ideas for the garden. This winter has got me dreaming away!
I actually filmed this a few months ago back in December of 2021, so it's much colder and the snow is much thicker on the ground, but it's essentially the same space.
I really wanted to treat this tour like a garden journal so I can see the progress of the garden over the years. Hopefully you like joining me for a bit of a ramble and a tour of sorts.
Thanks so much for being here!
Much love,
Anna
Beautiful! Hopefully we get a tour of your garden in the spring/summer after everything is blooming!!! I can picture how wonderful it will be to walk through all that life! 🌱
Aww absolutely!!! I plan on showing you around throughout the process of building this little garden :)
@@OurCottageGarden Please!
It looks a lot like where i grew up in northwestern Massachusetts. Lots of rocks. Good luck.
Please please please Anna. Do you have a video diary of your beautiful garden since this video. I'm SOOOO looking forward to seeing it. I think it will reflect your beautiful personality and generous soul.
I look forward to all your videos and tell everyone I know here in England (between Liverpool and Manchester) to look out for you and your channel.
You have helped me in ways I will never be able to explain or thank you for.
Thank you eternally xxx
Anna, I so love❤️ the land you live on and you have such wonderful ideas❤️❤️😊😃! I like the idea of having an orchard 🍎🍎 vegetable garden 🥕🍅🥦🌽, all those lovely colorful plants🌺🌸🌻, and even installing a beautiful babbling brook ! ! My Late Grandfather had about an acre of property in Pennsylvania. He grew the best Big boy tomatoes🍅 in the Summer and he also had a pear tree🍐🍐. I used to love picking off pears 🍐🍐and eating them fresh off his tree🍐🍐. My Late Grandfather also made pear sauce 🍐from his pears🍐. My Late Grandfather also had wild mint🌿🌿 growing on his property. And when my Brother and I were children, My parents went up to visit my Late Grandparents and my Late Father and my Brother and I would pick the fresh mint right off are Late Grandparents property. My Late Father would bring it home to where we lived and he would dry the leaves and make mint🌿🌿 iced tea in the Summer😊😊😊. Thank you Anna for sharing your really beautiful woodland property ❤️❤️❤️❤️! And your sweet adorable dog Georgie is really enjoying the snow❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!! And Anna, I would love to see your property in the Spring and Summer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!!
Wow!! I love that!! I'm sorry your grandfather and father have passed on. Sounds like they were lovely people. I'll have to plant a pear tree!! Pear sauce sounds heavenly :)
I love how excited you are to give this tour. The property is gorgeous.
Thank you love!!! xoxo
Gardening is an excellent, rewarding endeavor. I grow food , herbs, and tobacco(for the flowers).
Oh wonderful!! :) Nicotiana?

Thank you love!! So glad you liked it xoxo
Beautiful winter wonderland! You have so much awe-inspiring vision and energy that definitely shines through. Congratulations!
Thank you love!! :)
Such a beautiful place-looks quite similar to our land in Western Washington just outside Seattle, with lots of trees, ferns, moss, birch & rocks! Definitely do have an arborist come check out the health of any surrounding trees tall enough to hit your home if they were to fall-we have to do that every few years. About 10 years ago, a huge evergreen behind our house suddenly crashed down in the middle of the night, completely destroying our large second story deck hubby built and missed hitting the roof just feet away from where we were sleeping in our third story bedroom by about 4 inches! It was terrifying to say the least, we were so lucky! Can't wait to see how you transform your land into an even more magical wonderland!
Oh my gosh!! That's so scary! I'm really glad you're all ok, but how sad!! We will definitely get someone to come out for a consultation about the trees.
Really enjoyed the video. I don't know much about gardening but your voice is very calming. Can't wait for more updates on your projects
Congrats...you could not find a better surrounding for you :) I wish you all the happiness you can get :) And OUCH on the nail...hope it heals quickly.
Thank you love!! :)

Anna, congratulations!!! You've found such a beautiful landing spot, and thank you for sharing a little bit of it in the tour. The land is going to love and respond to all the love and work you put into it. Wishing you joy and happiness in this next chapter!💕
That's so nice!! Thank you love :)
Cool little garden. Your future plans sound great. The snow looks nice but brrrr so cold!
Haha thanks! Yes, so cold xoxo
Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us.
Awe you're so stinken cute and sooo much like myself too! I wish you had bought property & moved up here to North Idaho.... Coeur d' Alene to be exact! You would be a fun friend to have and it would be a blast to help you with your bigger projects. I love building cool things outside with whatever you can find out in nature!😜🙃👍🏼
Aww you're so sweet!!! I'm really excited to learn all of this :)
So beautiful! Please keep sharing!
Oh I can just see how lovely it will be. I can't wait to see it in the spring.
Looks like you're having so much fun building your garden, such beautiful property! Thank you for sharing it Anna , I'm so happy for you :)
Thank you Tim!!! I'm loving it so far xoxo
THis is a really cute video
Isn't it so satisfying and exciting to see your plants growing?! I love that feeling. I live on 5 acres and my husband and I have planted a lot! Grass, lavender, daisies, blue fescue. And I planted a ton of bulbs last Fall; irises, tulips, daffodils, allium, crocus, gladiolas and mini irises. Some of them have already grown two to three inches above the ground! 🌷 And, of course we're going to be doing a vegetable garden too. 😊🌽 There already was a plum and apple tree when we bought the property. We didn't get a chance to enjoy them though lol. The deer got to them before we did. But we added a couple pear trees! 🍐
Ready for some gardening
Wow this is so beautiful, congratulations on your new space!!! So happy for you girl ❤️ you truly deserve the best
Thank you angel!! xoxo
Wait until your Witch-Hazel matures probably later this year in early Autumn the seed pods break open and eject seeds 10 to 20 ft. some times 40 ft. you'll hear a little pop and the seeds hitting leaves and surrounding trees it's kind of cool
Haha that's wild :)
@@OurCottageGarden Yeah at first you're like Tom Hanks on Cast Away when you hear them you're like "What is that sound, what is that sound?!" By the way I think the tree with horizontal bands of white bark is a Water Birch (Betula Occidentalis) 🙂
Love your new property and how excited you are about it. IPlease keep us updated, I'm looking forward to see all your flowers pop up. Hugs and Love!
Thanks Blain!! I'm so excited to share it :)
It's lovely! Your interest in it all is infectious😁 Great to see, thankyou for sharing.
So much bonsai material available 🙂 enjoy your new place 👏🏼
Oh I love that idea!!! :)

You just moved here for content, didn't you? ;) Congrats, you seem ecstatic. It's very cute. Can't wait to see the property in the good weather.
Haha :) Thank you love xoxo
Lovely!!✨🌸💕 Love snow!!
xoxoxo
Anna, I hope you haven't given up your plans for your beautiful property. Please post any updates whenever you feel appropriate.
I look forward to see this garden grow and be a place for serenity. You’re having so much fun! Also to get ideas for winter gardening in Maine snow. Also ummm what brand/style are your glasses? I need a bigger lens for my bifocals. 🤓❄️❄️💜🪨🪨🌾🌾🌷🌸
Oh lovely!! I'll have to get tips from you about winter gardening!! Hope your winter is treating you ok xoxo
And these are from Warby Parker. Not sure about the name of the style, but they're fairly inexpensive and super durable :)
Congratulations on your new home. I love digging in the dirt and growing things, it is so satisfying. I keep a notebook of my garden planting so I won't forget where I planted certain things. Watch out for the squirrels as they love to get into your bulbs. Maybe you can start a friendship garden , just a thought.Enjoy the peace and serenity of your home.
We just purchased our first home in Arizona and have already started our own projects! Good luck!
Wow!! Congrats to you!!! Very exciting :)
Anna the Snow Princess! And yes, that is definitely a Birch tree. Do you have a section for sage, so you can have an endless supply for the sessions?
hahaha
You're so sweet!!
@@OurCottageGarden Thanks for the tour of 'ARR" (Anna's Reiki Retreat)!
Ohh yah, it gets cold like that back in New England. I didn't know you could grow so many things in the snow. Can you eat some of them??
Thanks for sharing Anna. Looks great.
Thanks, my friend!! :)
Very cool, thanks for showing, Anna :) My wife and I are soon moving to a property on the countryside, and it is waaay bigger than we originally planned for, so we'll be struggling to figure out, what the heck to do with it all. I'll be looking to you for inspiration - big responsibility, ha ha. Congratulations on the property - looks gorgeous.
Hay Leah !
How beautiful!!!
Are you comfortable saying what state this is at least?? I'm always curious about this kinda stuff after watching a video like this...☺️ You have a beautiful piece of property! Behind our house we have moose that come right up and eat apples right outa my hand nowadays... They didn't use tooo, but they quickly realized I was the animal whisperer hahaha!😜🌸
Excellent question I was fairly certain they were in either the Sierra Nevada or Siskiyou Mts. and so made the assumption that the Birch Anna was talking about was a variety of Water Birch (Betula Occidentalis) but on closer inspection I think Paper Birch (Betula Papyrifera) is more likely, meaning they are probably in the Appalachian Mts. based on a number of factors. But I could be wrong Paper Birch is grown as an ornamental on the west coast and the two hybridize where their ranges overlap so who knows. 😋
🙂 thanks...
❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been wanting to incorporate red twig dogwood into my landscape. Check out some hellebores. They’re awesome.
I don't think you'll need to much extra privacy when you see how much the woods fill out..in my experience anyway..deciduous forests get denser than people think..are you in the midwest?..I'm from Michigan..looks similar except nothing but the evergreens trees stay green here
I think you're absolutely right! It'll (hopefully) be full and lush and green for most of the year. I just love the way snow looks on evergreens, so I want to create lots of green throughout the year. :)
@@OurCottageGarden Congratulations on the beautiful piece of land to transform and wake up..I'm sure the trees and plants will enjoy it all..they like positive attention just as well as any of us
Links for the Vegan Boots & Jacket please!!!
Would love to know what state this is ❤️❤️
You are going to be so bummed out when deer and/or rabbits eat all the tulips...
Hi Anna, where are you from
How tall are you? 5.2?
Dude...what. don't u live in like sunny California
Not anymore lol....
redwood forest last time i heard.
@@princessadora Where the heck is that lol??🤷🏼♀️
@@ibwendybASMR northern california close to oregon
@@princessadora That's what I was kinda thinking. That, or around Big Bear! Except Big Bear would have lots more pine trees like we have up here in North Idaho! If she was up in N. CA. wouldn't there be more pines there too, or not!?🤷🏼♀️ Oh well, I don't blame her for not wanting to share such....Wayyy too many whackos out there nowadays sadly!!
Looks like the garden project has been aborted
