I've had my XC for a week now. Luckily i got it blue line but i was about to pay full price. The extra magazines were an awesome touch also. Worth every penny.
You are right about other guns. I still enjoy all my guns but I take the XC to the range by itself lol.
In December 2018, I surprise Santa'd myself and bought an STI DVC 3-gun. In the next eight months, I put 24,000 rounds through it. Got some arthritis in my right hand I shot it so much. Once you get a really nice pistol, it's hard to shoot anything else. Like driving a fast car then getting into a Corolla.
I really like your review! I sure hope I can afford a staccato some day…😢
Love the Staccato line up even though I don’t have one. There is a video floating around of one firing a primer round after being dropped, which is the whole P320 problem but costing 3-5x as much. Still a great shooting gun.
It is a series 70 trigger so that is to be expected. Either you get drop safe or you get a nice trigger. Either way, someone will complain. Age old debate. Just fyi.
Hopefully I can start picking up some more Staccatos at a steep discount :)
My only cons for the Staccato P/XC…with a full build of what I think I need in a gun battle…cost-they gonna take it for awhile and the total carrying weight day to day with that leg iron-it’s pretty uncomfortable for me…my daily/warm weather-spring summer fall is a Springfield Hellcat RDP, shield smsc red dot, 15rnd mag and a streamlight tlr-8, black point tactical leather wing for a holster…winter-my Staccato P with same build
The C2 as well can be a bit bulky for summer carry. I’ll be doing a video on the Sig Legion P365 AXG soon which is a great balance of performance, capacity, and size in my opinion. I’ll have the checkout the Hellcat - I’ve only heard good reviews
I’m buying a used XC this week without an optic plate. I already have a RMR HD in hand. What optic plate are you using?
Any overhang problems like casting hitting the optic? Thanks
I’m using the Dawson Precision plate. Staccato sells them on their website. Perfect fitment and no issues whatsoever - Dawson makes them specifically for Staccato. I’ve heard some say that the SRO overhangs too far but I’ve personally never experienced a casing hitting the optic. Congrats on the purchase, you’re going to love it
@@nickdamz2668 Awesome! I was going to buy a 507 Comp instead if it’s going to be a problem. You’re a big help. Thank you for the help bud. Much appreciated.
I rented one at the range. It was aight. I don’t think I pay what they’re asking for it.
A lot of cash to spend for sure, especially after accessories and extra magazines
I agree. Rented one and also met someone to buy one who let me shoot it prior to buying. I passed. I rented a platypus and enjoyed it. Now I have one, with the new updates.
Love mine. But I’m a 1911 fan. And have used STIs in competition prior.
It’s a just a range toy now. I compete but the gun puts you into open class where you won’t be competitive. Still love it though.
Have started selling some of my other guns. So that’s accurate.
As mentioned I had an STI DVC 3-gun. Wasn’t a fan. I like the XC way more.
I honestly like my CZ P-07 more than the staccato xc right now. With the cost of shipping the CZ to JagerWerks for slide work it’s half the cost of the staccato.
Many great alternatives. I would not put the XC in the value category that’s for sure!
If you have remorse after buying a staccato you don’t have very good fundamentals.
Only people that don’t improve with a staccato have tiny hands or have poor fundamentals.
That accuracy inspires confidence.
Agreed - like I said this feels like Thor’s hammer in my hands. Accuracy is unmatched.
Got a P DUO & C2 DUO , guess it's Ramen noodle diet time
I’m very close to committing to completing the wheel so I know how you feel lol
They make those in left handed?
Don’t believe so - the safety is ambi but don’t believe they offer a model with the slide and mag release on the other side
Unless I can shoot lasers like starwars the price is too high. It's a down payment on a home somewhere, I'm sure
Should check out night hawk custom. Fantastic guns.
The Sand Hawk is certainly on my watchlist. I was unimpressed by the Korth NSX but have heard only good things about the Sand Hawk
He said keyhole
I know a guy who trained every week, still got clapped by a hi point
That checks out - I can probably be outshot by a slingshot some days lol
The first con: It’s so good you won’t shoot your other guns
😂😂😂😂hell yeah
I’m waiting on my Canik TTI combat to be able to come home with me. It’s my poor mans Staccato 😂😂
The only negative I see is strictly the price... I make decent money but in no way can I just go and spend $4500 at one time on a hobby. Only way I can afford it is too go put it on layaway and pay almost half up front. I probably will soon, I need one. I'll EDC it lol already carry a Prodigy with x300/acro.
Most places, at least in my personal experience only ask for 20% down on a firearm layaway. So you could just drop a little 800, and then pay some here some there. And then next thing you know you have a Staccato. Do it man!
While the price is very steep, I don’t regret purchasing it in the slightest. My biggest mistake was buying numerous (and I mean a significant) number of inferior firearms before buying this one, which have in total far exceeded my investment in this
Here’s a thought for you. I was Just in the same position with an Atlas Erebus. Instead of robbing my bank for $7500 I found a Wells Fargo credit card that’s offering 0% APR for 21 months. Now I’m not going to take anywhere near that amount of time to pay it off, maybe 2 months, but why use your cash if you don’t have to. Just a thought.
I guess I got click baited. Cause there’s no remorse on those words
😁
