மனோரமா (26 மே 1937 - 10 அக்டோபர் 2015) தென்னிந்தியத் திரைப்பட நடிகை ஆவார். நகைச்சுவைக் கதாபாத்திரங்களில் தனது திறனை வெளிப்படுத்திய இவர் 1500 திரைப்படங்களுக்கு மேல் நடித்தார்.[2] இவர் தமிழ்த் திரையுலகினராலும், தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட ரசிகர்களாலும் 'ஆச்சி' என அன்போடு அழைக்கப்பட்டார்.
இவர் தென்னிந்தியாவின் ஐந்து முதலமைச்சர்களுடன் நடித்த பெருமை கொண்டவர். கா. ந. அண்ணாதுரை, மு. கருணாநிதி ஆகிய இருவரும் நாடக மேடைகளில் மனோரமாவுடன் நடித்திருக்கிறார்கள். தவிர ம. கோ. இராமச்சந்திரன் மற்றும் செ. செயலலிதா இவருடன் தமிழ்த் திரைப்படங்களில் நடித்திருக்கிறார்கள். மேலும் என். டி. ராமராவ் தெலுங்கு படங்களில் இவருடன் நடித்திருக்கிறார்.
Krishnasaamy Bhagyaraj (born 7 January 1953) is an Indian director, actor, screenwriter, music director, producer and politician active mainly in Tamil films. He has also written and directed Hindi films and TV serials. As an actor, he has worked in more than 75 films and has directed more than 25 films. He won a Filmfare Best Actor Award for Mundhanai Mudichu (1983). He received Lifetime Achievement Award in SIIMA (2014).[4] He is the editor of weekly magazine Bhagya and has also written several novels.
Personal life
Bhagyaraj was born in Vellankoil near Gobichettipalayam in Erode district in a Telugu speaking family in Tamil Nadu. His parents were Krishnaswamy and Amaravathiamma. He married twice. His first marriage was with actress Praveena, in 1981. She died due to an aggravated case of jaundice in August 1983. His second marriage was with actress Poornima Jayaram, who was his co-star in Darling, Darling, Darling (1982),[5] on 7 February 1984. The couple has a daughter Saranya Bhagyaraj[6] (who starred in Parijatham (2006)[7] and Photographer (2006)[8]) and a son Shanthnu Bhagyaraj.[9]
Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai (born 21 March 1970[1][2]) is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer. She acts predominantly in Malayalam films along with Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and English films. She has won two National Film Awards, one Kerala State Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South with 14 Nominations for Best Actress Category in three different south Indian languages, Tamil Nadu State's Kalaimamani Award in 2011 and numerous other awards.[3][4] In a career spanning more than 40 years, Shobana has starred in 230 films across several languages predominantly in Malayalam, besides Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English.[5][4]
She won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances in the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993) and the English film Mitr, My Friend (2001). Subsequent to the year 1999, Shobana turned extremely selective about her films.[6][7][8][9][10]
Shobana was trained under the Bharatanatyam dancers Chitra Visweswaran and Padma Subrahmanyam.[11] She emerged as an independent performer and choreographer in her twenties and currently runs a dance school, Kalarpana, in Chennai.[6] In 2006, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri for her contributions towards the arts.[12][13]
