This is really good! I was wondering if the black and white effects were from you or actually in the anime an now that I know it was you, that makes this all that more impressive! It's also good to hear from you again since it's been a while.
Not sure if you take request, but any chance of a Princess Principal amv? Thought it was a great, unique anime last season and would love to see one of your amazing amvs for it.
I do not take requests, but always feel free to suggest anime or songs because if it is a series I have never heard of or something like that, I may feel inspired. I will say though, Princess Principal has a style that fits a lot of songs I have wanted to work with but not many anime actually fit so it is pretty high on my "likely-to-edit" list ^^.
I know this is an old video and you probably won't see this, but will you consider on making a tutorial or something like that explaining how to play around with the colors like you did in this beatiful video. I now it was frustrating for you but i really want to know how to do this. I've searched for tons of tutorials and haven't found one that talks about this. Thank you and keep it up :)
I dont know when I will have time to do tutorials, but I can do my best to explain it here! Basically, it was just a combination of masking and color correcting. I would isolate the parts of the clip I wanted to have colored by masking it out. For color correcting, I used a plug in called Magic Bullet Looks, which let me adjust each scene to get the kind of grey and other color alterations I wanted. You can do the same kind of thing with color correcting tools already in editing programs, but Magic Bullet Looks does make it easier and expands what you can do with color correcting.

Sucks what happened to the finished product, would've loved to see it. An alright AMV otherwise.
