Hi !! Amazing shoots with these lens! I have the bmpcc 4k and same lens 17-70 and metabones ,but when I change the zoom, the iris changes at the same time ,for example if I put 17mm f5.6 and zoom in 50 or 70mm goes around F8 ,or 17mm F8 when moe zoom to 70mm go automatic to F 11 like the same way when you have 17mm F2- to 70mm F2.8. You have the same issue? Thank you!
Here is a bit of constructive criticism = The audio is boring and doesn't add to the story. I'd like to hear the people working and music that is from the local the area. That would give it a documentary feel. Also curious what the onboard mics can do. Great steady shots, Nice composition 'n lovely color grading.
wow looks amazing huh. The skin tones are really well done by Blackmagic. Finally a good video camera that has good colour science with good specs. It looks pretty cinematic to me not sure what the haters are complaining about.
Excellent video!... I love Chiang Mai, I'm going back there soon. It's good to see what the new BMPCC is capable of, did you use a gimbal or does your lens have IS?. What be good to see more vids done around CM. Many thanks :)
Very well shot, the camera seems to do well in lower light inside the temple. I'd personally would have dialed down the contrast a bit, but overall a very nice video :) I'm looking into buying the BMPCC4K myself, any recommendation where to buy it in Thailand?
@@8KHDRVideoBySittipong Ok. Thanks for answering. Did you use it with other lenses like Sigma 17-50 or any other? Do you have any advise for stabilizing handheld?
Beautiful Thailand ... very poetic atmosphere ... what do you think about the body ? some people say that it feels very cheep ...plastic not very solid ... anyway great job
A beautiful film full of Thai culture!!! love it and each of the previous bmpcc 4k videos. Can I take the liberty to ask you a few questions? Which card or ssd do you use? Any suggestions or recommendations? And how many GB raw footage did you shoot totally for this film? I guess this is a huge project. ^_^
I am getting reports of limited shooting time in raw of only 10 seconds. How much time did RAW setting allow you to shoot? Which brand of CFast 2.0 card did you use?
The CFast 2.0 can record 4:1 RAW at 60fps with no limit of time. You can shoot until the card get full. I have 2 CFast 2.0, a Sony CFast which can write data to card at 510MBps.
Lovely Video - I see you indicate you used a Metabones Speedbooster 0.71X. Were you able to use the "Autofocus" button on the BMPCC 4K to adjust the focus point of the lens? I have a BMPCC4K and the same Sigma Lens - BUT while the camera will pass-through the camera/lens iris control - the "Autofocus" control from the camera to the lens is non-functional ! Did you use manual focus when filming the video ?
@@8KHDRVideoBySittipong hi, thank you for your video. I am just learning about video and camera world. Could you please tell more about "why" you do not use built in IS? Thanks
Superb image quality, however, no filmic like ... looks more video then film to me. BMPCC was more like film. I think if you shoot in HD 1080p not 4K you should get the film look. Red cameras don't have the film look as well... I have seen some footages from red and got surprised about its video look.
personal opinion here, but I think it is more down to the lens, and filters, and lighting that makes a cinematic image, put some vintage or anamarphic lenses on this and you will still get that vintage look (in my opinon). that being said I do think red cameras have many cinematic films (the social network, Annihilation, the nice guys, Flight, even some scenes in The Revenant), not to say a camera doesn't have a look. just that at this size and prize there isn't much that can compete, as an original bmpcc owner I would happily upgrade and just use a filter to soften the image if I felt it needed it.
@@legendp2011 This guy really don't understand, "the film look" and how things work. THE FILM LOOK doesnt just happen..., it doesn't just come straight out of the box?
i think what you're describing is due to the sigma lens. It is extremely clear and sharp and lacks character. Not that it is a good or bad thing, it is just a matter of taste. I have a black pro mist filter on a voigtlander 17.5 and it created a much softer, 'filmic' look, but then again you are not getting nearly the detail that he is getting in this video. All a matter of preference.
To be a cinema camera its too crisp too clean, a cinema camera should have a dreamy look. Anyways its great, Its just that I'm trying to see that film look, and all these digital cameras don't have.
My Friend. It is only the lens that is rendering the "sharp" look that you criticize. When you put something like an Angenieux cinema lens (especially vintage) or anamorphic, the camera will achieve a very cinematic and dreamy look. If your desire an even more filmic look, then you would add film grain in post. Or you can spend thousands of dollars on an Arriflex and some film stock, processing and telecine. As an indie filmmaker with tons of passion projects that I desire to create, I prefer the more accessible option in the BMPCC4K with Anamorphic and or cinema glass. Lets keep it real here!
Fantastic
Many thanks.

how the hell did you manage to stabilize like that? It's amazing!! Could you please share some tips?

How you color grade? Would you please make a tutor for color grade.

question so did you shoot this entire project Raw format if so what is the recommended cfast card or sd card to use to get recording in raw longer
For now, you can use certified CFast 2.0 or SD or SSD from Wise.

No, I just hold the camera still, no any lens stabilization.
