I bought one a couple of years ago. It seems like a nice knife but the handle is too short for me so its not very comfortable. Other than that works great

Mine unfortunately needed some sharpening tlc, but aside from that, most definitely worth 10 bucks. It's extremely light weight and frankly for how simple the sheath is I was surprised to find that it's actually ambidextrous. There's a lot there for 10 bucks.

I know its been a while since you posted this vid. But i agree over all the blade and striker seem to be sturdy. Got it a few months back during the after christmas clearance sale. Havent opened it till recently. The fixed blade seems to be sturdy. I like the holster. Gives proper protection to the blade and self. Was worried the striker wouldnt be secure but its solid. I would say its a bit better than and amature grade knife. And honestly may be sufficient for practical and survival usage. Ive had bad experiences with a KA-Bar style knife. It ended up being only in name. Was poor quality and the blade became dangerously loose during practical borderline survival usage. Honestly would love to get a good quality KA-BAR but pretty sure a GOOD quality one would be much more expensive than this. Thought Ozark trail was just another budget quality walmart brand. At best day camping. But also purchased an Ozark Trail 50ltr Box Backpack. Is also surprisingly sturdy quality. i would trust it with practical/survival usage. In 2014 i went abroad with some of my freinds and we did some backpacking. My first time...and i wasnt so smart and just bought what looked decent and was budget friendly. That is when that KA-BAR looking knive failed me. We were in the middle of a backpacking route north from Punta Arenas in chile up to San Barloche in Argentina. Basically a roughly 1200 mile hike give or take a hundred miles...through patagonia a month before winter was set to to kick in. We were trying to leave before we got looked down in the snow. Sure for some a trip like that may be extreme but it tests your survival skills in situations. Like with this blade...good quality blade and or fire striker could easily be life and death if you need it. Sure in the US we dont have as many situations like that unless your in the far north. But i honestly wish i had this blade with me when i was traveling. I will probably swap alot of my stuff for Ozark Trail. Thought maybe i was not judging the blade fairly but seems someone else seems to agree the blade is pretty decent.

I definitely want to get that Ozark trail knife next time I go to Walmart. I have a couple of Ozark Trail pocket knives. I have the Ozark trail 20234 pocket knife. And I have the Ozark trail 8602C camouflage pocket knife. And I have the Ozark Trail PM804 pocket knife. And I have the Ozark Trail 8801 with stag finish pocket knife. And I have the Ozark trail 6312 assisted opening pocket knife. And I have the Ozark trail 5335 multi-tool pocket knife. And I also have the Ozark Trail 8607M Fixed Blade Knife with the black plastic sheath. So I have 9 Ozark Trail knives so far. Ozark Trail knives are very good Quality knives.

Ozark Trail knives have definitely come a long way and I use a lot of them for all my outdoor adventures. For being a Walmart brand product they are way better than I thought they would be.

@@martialarmory3987 very True that Ozark Trail knives have come a very long way. And that is very cool that you use Ozark Trail knives on your outdoor adventures. And yes definitely for Ozark Trail knives being a Walmart brand product. I feel the same way to about Ozark Trail knives being a lot better than what even I thought of Ozark Trail knives would be. I think that Ozark Trail knives can compete with more expensive knives like spyderco or cold steel or CRKT.

      Hi.
      What do those knives cost?
I mean, i grew up with Swiss Army knives and Mora knives over here in Holland.
A Mora would cost between 6 and 20 euros and a sak from about 20 bucks onwards.
And there is also the brand Mikov from the Czech Republik. Their knives are ok as well and they are cheaper than the Swiss ones. Like the Mikov Praktik and the Stovka.

The problem with Ozark Trail is people expect perfection out of cheap Chinese made products. Its acceptable for what it is. Its unacceptable for what it is not. Its a cheap knife and it fits the bill, but its not garbage.
