🧁 Follow my narrated tutorial to create a JOHN DEERE TRACTOR cake decoration. This figure is made with edible gum paste and makes a great cake topper. This John Deere tractor is modeled off the real thing to keep the shape and details accurate. This cake topper works great for a farmers birthday or kids birthdays who love tractors and farm animals. I have several farm cake decorations that work well together to create a whole farm themed cake. Here is the link • Top FARM & JOHN DEERE ...

❓FONDANT OR GUM PASTE?
I use BOTH for very different reasons.
Fondant (or Sugar Paste) is used to cover a cake.
Gum Paste (or Modeling Paste) is used to create cake decorations.

Thank you for your sharing this wonderful piece of work. The was one tool which you used throughout, but didn’t list it down 😃! The amazing 🔪 ✍️. Have a blessed week
This is one of my older videos. The green tool I used was made by Wilton but I stopped using it and now I use the blue Ateco tool. The set I use is in the description.

Amazing art work
I'm in love with this tutorial! :D True work of art. You should be really, really proud of yourself because this tractor looks so realistic! I'm currently in process of making this one and I'm sooo afraid of what it will become of those wheels...
Milana Kobilarov thanks so much for the compliment! The key to the wheels is let them dry completely and don’t make them too thin. You want them sturdy enough to support the weight. You got this- I’ve had many people use this tutorial and from the pictures I’ve seen, they come out really good! I have faith in you! 😊
@@CaketasticCakes Thanks for the tip, I hope it will turn out fine 💓

Wow! I have to make a Farm Cake and I'm really afraid to make the tractor! I Hope I can do it 😱! Greetings from Germany!
Daniela Brumann just take your time and start it days in advance so everything has plenty of time to dry and set up. I also have a flat version of this tractor if you want something easier to make. It’s in the farm playlist
Caketastic Cakes I've finished it! It also looks like a tractor. I only had to improvise on the tires. But I am completely satisfied with this first attempt ♥️
Thank you for this, your tutorial was extremely clear and easy to understand and helped me create a great tractor! 😍👍🏻
Thanks. Send me a picture. I love to show off my viewer creations.
Woah you are an amazing artist!
Thanks 😊
How long did you let it dry before you put it all together. And how long till you cut the cakepiece for the axes? Wanna make a cake for my cousin cause he looooooves tractors, so I wanna top my cake with a Tractor like yours. Already nervous cause I really hope it‘s gonna work
I'm sorry for the delay in responding - I let the body of the tractor dry for over a day. It was 2, if I remember correctly. To be safe, even 3 days would be best. I made the axles and tires the same time as the tractor's body, I just kept them apart until the body hardened. I cut the grooves in the body for the axles the next day - after it had a day of drying. It was still soft enough in the center, that cutting was no problem. I am not sure what you mean by cakepiece, but I hope this helps. I'd also love to see what you come up with! If you don't mind, you can send me a pic at jen@caketasticcakes.com
Thanks, I already did the Body, axles and tires and tomorrow I‘m going to put it all together. And yeah sure i am gonna send you my tractor :)
Caketastic Cakes i have already sent you a Photo :)
How do you price this if you’re making it for someone?
By the time it takes to make it. The amount of product you’ll use is about $5, but it’s the time that matters. This took literally hours to make. Days, if you consider having to let it dry before you assemble it. How valuable is your time? Hand made items are personalized works of art, so give yourself at least minimum wage to make it. That said, don’t feel bad if a cake doubles in cost if you add a lot of personalized items to it. Your client must understand the cost that come with it. Good luck and I’d love to see your finished product! 😊
Please keep on adding more videos
They're coming! I try to have at least one a week (tuesdays) but am working toward one on tuesday and another for thursday or friday.
Apaixonadaaaa me ajudou muitoooooo💕💕💕💕💕
vera ferreira muito obrigado! Estou feliz 😊
Hey, this is an amazi g tractor! Just one question, how much gumpaste did you use?
B. Hebich I’m not totally sure, but probably about a pound. This was a heavy sucker.
Can i do it using fondant?
If you add tylose powder, you could. If you are using straight up fondant, I would be hesitant. I don’t think it would be able to sit on the tires without losing some shape
Can you gove some idea of measurements please...or provide a audible instruction with this utube clip
Sorry I didnt have the volume up on my phone ...but measurements would be great :-)
I don’t have actual measurements. I just wing it when I make it. You can make it what ever size you need. Just make the body to the size you need, then make the wheels so they look good. This tractor was about 5” long if that helps. Sorry, I don’t have real measurements to give yiu
hola im subscribed so yeah adios
