Fortunately they didn't harm any of the kids, but they forced them to leave the shelters, and go to a near by camp. This doesn't sound really harsh at all, but considering it was an incredibly cold eastern european winter (-30 Celsius) many of the children tragicaly died from hypothermia.
Is there any evidence in favor of this grandfather's words? In the Red Army, they were shot for pillaging. What could be so interesting at school that you could risk your life for it?
@@Imperial_loyalist Well, even if it was a rule, they didn't comply with it. I can recall at least 4 stories, told by real people, (not counting this one) about the most cowardly pillaging that the Red army's soldiers had done. To answer your exact question, the most important things to the soviets were clocks and watches. (There is even a Hungarian proverb about this, which roughly translates to: "Hand me the watch!") They gathered the tables and cabinets, stole everything that was made of silver or gold from the school's chapel. (another proverb is " All that was not nailed to the ground was taken away") It is a rather naive thought that the generals would've cared about these attrocities.

The fighting and murdering is horrific in this. You create a threatening and really intense atmosphere through your effects, sounds, and the animation.
