Poison chalice the CL, for me. I know I know... we need the revenue we're told. But we've gone from relegation to promotion to a few mid-table finishes to 6th place and Europa Conf. Maybe we still get 4th. But Europa League seems a valuable progression to me and I'd be happy with that.
Have to say I don’t really agree with the additions. We are clearly not in a position to be splashing cash unless we are willing to sell some players. Also very easy to forget we are missing some big players in Kamara, Buendia and Mings
@@seanjulian2071 Agree with this... Emery has created a style of play and chemistry with the players we have. I'd like to see them remain together, with the return of Mings, Buendia, Kamara, and see what we can do. Of course a player like Mario Hermoso would be welcomed. But I think we should enjoy he process of building.

This squad isn’t good enough in quality the defence at times is at 6&7 hopefully next season when we have Mings back we have a leader who runs through a brick wall for Villa Pau good player but not aggressive enough at times

Tbh this is partially on Emery, he put out a weak team for City to rest players in hope of a stronger team for Brentford dropping 5 points in 2 games.

Hindsight. If he outs out a full strength team vs City and it's a closer loss, what's the benefit? If it's a draw then a quick turnaround with tired players and we lose this one, then what?
@@ljmolly4029 The point would be we at least tried, I believe you should always put out your strongest team if you. What I think he should of done is rest Luiz this game to save him getting carded as that was always risky.
@@phillyflyboxing I agree with resting Luiz. But I see the strategy in the lineup for City in terms of Emery's longer term thinking. He gambled and in terms of points, it didn't pay off. But you have to see the forest from the trees at this point and manage games accordingly.
