I love finding old bottles then try and research them. The research into the history of these old bottles is very extensive, especially ones that weren't in business long. That being said, I can appreciate the hard work you put into it.

Thanks :) Some of these bottles hold on to their story tighter than others. I have to pry it out of their little hands sometimes. LOL

It's crazy how much history is just lost to time... You did a good job digging up this bottle's history.

Im always thinking that. We have lost so much in just 100 years! It really makes me sad. I just finished a book that was written in 1899 and the culture he lived in was just so different from us. I think history is so important. Well, have a good one!

@@antiquebottlestories agreed! I guess that's just how it goes. Unless you're super famous, then you'll likely be forgotten eventually. It's sad but true.
Take care and have a good night 🌙

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing your research. Wondering if it's not a "lug" style cap. Was a short lived enclosure around the 20's between cork tops and modern screw tops. Bromos, Nujol, and Mistol are very common with lug caps but most aren't because they didn't last long.

interesting. Thats not a cap type ive ever heard of before. I can see why it didnt stay around long. It looks to me like if you did pry this cap off, it wouldnt go back on. Maybe similar to a current beer bottle cap. which wouldnt work for something you werent planning on drinking in one sitting.

So if Vigatone is patented, you should be able to look up the ingredients... unless the records were destroyed in a fire or flood or something
