Watching you freehand that pattern on top has me in awe, lol. It reinforces how much of a truly multi-disciplined artist you are. Both boxes turned out looking fantastic, very imagination-inspiring and quite an accessible project when shown in this format. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it! I knew I could just sand off the paint in case the pattern doesn't work out but I got lucky on this one!😄
I've just been saying to other creators who include their family members in their woodworking journey that I really have to get my two girls back in the shop. We did a bunch of Christmas crafts and 3D bandsaw reindeers last year. Halloween is fast approaching and we need a few ghosts, ghouls and jack-o-lanterns made pronto. Both jewelry boxes came out awesome and kudos to your step-son wanting to make something for his girlfriend! Good man! And I like the router trick (clamping upside down to the bench so you can bring the work to the router instead of the router to the piece. Great for smaller builds).
I think to involve the kids is a great idea. It changes things up! Also, to create content for holidays is probably a good way to attract new viewers. Thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate your support!
I can’t believe, this came out 5 days ago and it just popped up on my feed! Excellent work, you sir are a master craftsman. And a pretty good painter too! (I would have totally ruined it at that point I’m sure.) Neat idea with clamping the router upside down but you need to get a router table sometime,,they’re fun 😉
Thank you! Yes, you are absolutely right, I need a router table! It would be much saver and more precise. I was planing to build a tablesaw/router table combo, but I got too busy with other stuff. Maybe I get a chance for it this winter! 🤔
...a great little joint art project. I like it.
... now we are waiting for the matching, handmade jewelry...😊

Nice seeing a scroll saw and Dremel make an appearance in a YT video. Such underrated tools. Nifty projects gents!!!
Thanks buddy, those two tools I use more often then people would think! Best part is, I picked up the scroll saw for 25 bucks at a garage sale!
