It would be best if the media & fans realize the Heat are leaning into their young core, not the Jimmy window or Bam & won’t complete for championships until Jovic is 23 & Jaquez is 26, Herro is 27, & Bam is 29…. So it will take few years of growth & they’ll be out of the Jimmy window. But trading their size & youth no matter for who will only make them a worse team now & in the future.

The east is still the east they can trade Jimmy and still make the playoffs. It doesn’t matter what the roster looks like the championship will be a team from the west
True contenders have stars who are outperforming their contract or worth every penny. Very arguable this build has that...and I love Bam (my DPOY😤) but in truth, he's not a supermax guy i'm sorry...and D.Michell is not coming, no way they outbid the other teams.

It’s all reshuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. No eastern conference team has a shot against Boston for the next 2 years. Gutting the roster for D-Mitch won’t be enough. Team will still lack size and Jimmy is old and declining. Unload Jimmy while you can and rebuild for the next couple of years.

Heat should try to get Donovan for Herro, Jaime and future first round picks. Maybe even try a 3 team trade Jarret Allen , caris to Pelicans, Caleb, Herro, Jaime, and picks to Cavs and Heat get Donovan Mitchell and Jonas. If not then we go get Dejounte Murray or Malik Monk sign and trade for Herro, Caleb or Highsmith, and/or future 1st picks. Draft a big like Zach Edey and Alex Karaban in the 2nd round. Sign Jonas in free agency. I love this teams chance with the new roster after this move.

Butler never played 70 games in a season for almost 6 years yet he steered the non relevant Miami Heat into 2 Finals and e ECF with mostly undrafted , waived and discounted players
