I completely agree with this, my channel was doing fine, I was finally doing better on youtube, I had gone from like 1.4k to almost 5k in a year but when I was at 5.9k more precisely like 40 subs away from 6k I did my first short stream. I got way past 6k with it and with the following short streams I eventually got to 7k but it has absolutely killed my channel.

thats how i killed my old channel. i had like 1k and them i posted a short that got 30k views and then i got liek 2k subs from it and i ended up quiting on that channel because i got like 40 views a vid with 3k subs
