A visit to celebrate Independence Day and one little bear showing off his independence quite nonchalantly. After all that a bit of tree climbing. Thank you, Patrick 😊

such adorable black bears, and the Cubs are such a delight in entertaining us
Ruby climbs the gate on the stairs and then pole dances to get to the bird feeder. Simone just walks onto the porch and climbs the porch railings directly under the bird feeder. Plus Simone is bigger than Ruby, or was when last seen. Ruby may still get a bit bigger with age.
Mama brought her three babies to the local Fourth of July picnic, no reservations needed!
Beautiful cubs. They all imitate their mom's acrobatic weirdness. Ruby never saw a post she didn't wrap herself around. She is truly funny.

What a happy surprise to see Ruby and her cubs! So funny they have learned to climb up to the porch rail like she does. I had a worried moment for pinched paws, too. Thank you for closing the gate! Funny cubs are perfectly happy on your porch, but ran for a tree once down on the grass. Happy Independence Day Patrick and bear fans!
It just kills me that Ruby’s only way up is climbing the railing. Funnier still, she is teaching the kids to do the same! Even the little guy who was already on the deck had to go baxk and do as Mom showed 😂😂😂

wow the trust Ruby shows here, she has her back to you all the time while she attacks the bird feeder, also the determination of that bear cub to get up on the fence, I was willing him/her to do it.

What a nice fourth of July surprise, Ruby and her babies 😊. They have gotten bigger and are so precious and Ruby is so beautiful. I just love how she takes the hardest way to get to those seeds and now her babies are doing the same lol. I don’t think the birds were happy with them. I was watching them as they were leaving towards the tree and thought how nice Bella hasn’t noticed them and sure enough Bella let herself be known. She has the loudest bark around 😂
