- While playing I kept thinking about wolves howling.
I recently received the ROAT and have been really enjoying it. I think it pairs really well with the Lyra and Cosmos. I truly love the binary page navigation.
in this instance I am running the ROAT into the external input of the Lyra and sending the output of the Lyra to the Cosmos.
I am using the Cosmos with one of the more complex granular algorithms and keeping the FB very short.
For the ROAT I am using each voice with an LFO to generate a rhythm. during the video I am mostly adjusting the filter and resonance parameters.
Thanks to Soma and for making such amazing instruments that give me inspiration every day.

Current ROAT owner - future Lyra owner (I think) - this is a really lovely jam. I love how the ROAT is such a noisy little bastard but settles in so nicely in drone and ambient contexts.
Very inspiring drones from these sound tools 🙌👍👍
4:39 first impression it sounds like egyptian tubes. I see cats shadows and Pyramids in sandy desert but not wolves in a dark forest. And it confirmed more and more to this timestamp
Fantastic stuff!
I purchased a Cosmos recently and it's honestly the best gear purchase in a long time. So creatively inspiring.
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying traveling through the Cosmos 😊
These are fabulous noise makers and I love what you have done with them!
interessante progressione timbrica di questo Lyra - m'iscrivo al canale + like
Brilliantly restrained use of drone. I can hear those wolves. Keep up the great work. This has inspired me to fig out my diy 18oscillator box and some dirt/delay pedals. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the comment! I look forward to hearing what you make with your 18osc box 😀
Beautiful drones 👍
Love it
Beautiful build up !!!!
It sounds amazing cool! Synthetic atmosphere of the Middle Ages and space! Thanks!!!
Hey there I am two thirds of the way to you on this SOMA journey. The Lyra-8 is awesome and the Cosmos is on its way. Not heard of the ROAT before. Really intense and somewhat eerie great soundscape.
Great !
Thanks
Wow this is incredible. I really want the Cosmos but can't quite justify it to myself at the moment.. one day!
Wow! So atmospheric! Epic sound!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. I truly love your synth design, Kakos Nonos. Great sound, it's portable, and the binary pages system is awesome. I love that I can navigate menus and play it with my eyes closed. 😀 I look forward to your future creations.😊
wow! what a intense and fantastic sound!! 😍🌼🌈
Perfect
Great track and set up!
Soma is awesome isn't it??
Thanks! Yeah, they're awesome. Certainly some of the most innovative instruments I've used. I also love being able to play with my eyes closed, and Soma stuff is great for that.
I Totally Admire And Love Your Piece
Ehule . Cinematicly Inspired . Please let me know if this can be used by others .
Thanks for the kind words! Other than live stuff I am most interested in producing scores or ambience for film so your cinematic comment means a lot.
As to usage.....Sure, just please credit me.....are you working on a project and want sound? Hit me up via my Bandcamp for collaborations (found under Ehule).
@@ehule Will do haha. 😃 and you had me painting today ,wolves indeed . This maybe personnel give your top films ... 😃 Ehule where you from ie what does Ehule mean .thank for responses ....
Not sure where I am from ;) Ehule is a family name....never been able to find an exact meaning but I found a paper once that said it had Yiddish roots and meant "weaver". I feel like I weave sounds so it felt like it fit.
Thanks to Soma for amazing instruments
Soma is a great inspiration for what electronic instruments can be. They are a profoundly important part of my life and I am eternally grateful to what Vlad and the Soma team have made available to the musicians.
When I heard the Lyra for the first time I thought....these are the sounds I hear in my head, haha. 😃
That's really cool. I was eyeing up the Lyra 8 the other day... it's like the synth of Satan. Rumble of Ancient Times worth the money? I have just bought a Korg Minilogue XD to learn on but will definitely be investing in more hardware. Great sounds btw!
Yes! Definitely worth it. I also think it makes a great gift.
A cool Russian setup....thx !

Sorry, are you saying I should get one? It sounds like that? Or you make those?
@@ehule Hello ,I neither make nor sell these . The people who give 70% of profit to similar sentiments .
🤔
really badly behaved kit , wondrously controlled . Tamed by you .....
haha, I never really think of it as taming. More like dancing with a partner....always a collaboration. :)
@@ehule ha ha. 😃
