PLEASE READ: Hey. I really want you to hear this. I'm s huge skinny pig person and I've had 4 in the past 6 months. I'm going to tell you what youtube and forums don't. They get sick much much more easily than other pigs. They are extremely prone to heart issues. EXTREMELY! 2 of my lovely skinnies passed from genetic heart trauma. Their genes are messed up and unstutal causing so very many problems. I did everything right. I gave them hay, the proper diet everything. Here are some tips. You need to feed them more than huinea pigs. They need to eat more to be able to keep their body temperature up. And no matter what, they have a much shorter lives pan. It's not all fun and games with them. They are very prone to scratches and bites and getting hurt in general. You have to be on cutting their nails and you have to file their nails because they scratch themselves. Guinea pigs have hair and the scratch doesn't affect them but it does with the hairless ones. You NEED to weigh them much more often and they start loosing weight just like that. One day they are perfectly fine, they next they are gone. Skinny pigs Poo and pee MUCH more than guinea pigs so they mess will be a lot.. You have to put coconut oil on them to keep their skin moisturized. They can eat things that huinea pigs can't. You can give them oatmeal, coconut oil, alfalfa hay and bran pellets when they start going downhill or loose more than 20 grams. Also of coarse critical care. I can't tell you how fragile they are. The room has to stay warm. And they have to have fleece houses to stay warm. Please be careful. I love skinnies so very much but there are so many things people won't tell you about them. ️️RIP Grover and Ernie❤️
Riley Corkery I agree! People only think about how cute they are and don't consider all th risks. Skinny pigs are completely different than Guinea pigs. I love them, but I would never buy them. I don't support genetically modified animals, especially if it hurts their way of life. Hairless guinea pigs are not natural and it's not fair to keep breeding them with all of their health concerns.
Riley Corkery completely agree x had a skinny pig herd and were riddled with illnesses due to bad breeding, personally i feel skinny pigs are a "fad" animal, with some of the WORST genomes of rodents, the hairlessness is a genetic FAULT.... idk, obvs not bashing having them they are lovely but the three we had were rescued and all passed away. Have heard of lots of similair stories, personally not worth the risk x erin is hands down one of the most educated people i can imagine on rodents but i still feel they are often carry lots of illnesses x only my opinion but it isnt an uncommon one unfortunately x

I got a new mini lop bunny om friday, after watching your videos i wasnt expecting him to be very affectionate yet but he already comes to his name! He has a free roam of my garden and loves sitting on my lap and getting cuddles xx
There so cute! Also I got a guinea pig today it’s color is beautiful it’s light brown with some white! It’s smooth and adorble but it’s kinda shy! Give some thumbs up for guinea pigs!
I have a one year old guinea pig who's older brother sadly passed away in October xxx he was doing amazing by himself and was so social even though he was alone. But on Tuesday I'm adopting a new male guinea pig from pets at home called bubble!!!! He is around four years old and I'm so excited my piggy won't be lonely x
Incase you missed anything here are some tips! With skinny pigs Definantly cut they're nails once/twice in two weeks and recommend nail filing also. And you don't have to do coconut oil all the time only when there skin seems dry. And would recommend getting cozy sacks as they love to snuggle in them. Good luck xx

Em Harper its best to get 2 bunnies as 1 gets very lonely , i have experienced this when i had just 1 bunny but when i introduced another they seemed much happier
Em Harper if your in the US I believe you don't, if not google might have the answer of which vaccinations you need. Google may also have the sender for how often you need
Where i live we have to vaccinate them every year! And it's something like €60 i know this isn't really helpfull but Oh wel 😂 and btw if you can get 2 rabbits it's alot better for you'r rabbit. To make it you'rself east get 2 who already now each other so you are not really stuck with the bonding sessions.

Aubrey Reist yeah, if you don't mind the hair growing back some shelters have rabbits saved from the angora wool industry where they will (sorry if this is scary but it's true) rip the hair off of rabbits while they are hung by their legs. The rabbit may be very hard to tame but it's worth it saving them at the end
A tip from me, they don’t react well to normal water, two of mine died, cuz there was kalk in the water and they developed stones, u should rll filter there water. I also have skinny pigs
You could consider getting rats I know it sounds yuck but they groom themselves heaps and there really clean there super smart and learn tricks better than dogs you make toys for them out of cardboard there really amazing creatures and so friendly. But I love the idea of skinny pigs what bedding will you use

You should try keeping them on bathmats, it helps to keep the smell down and it easier to clean, I use it for my pigs as I struggled keeping them on fleece. What are the dimensions of your cage?
Little Pets wow- I have to admit though even though this is stereotypical maybe not a pit bull 😂 more like small dogs and Yorkies and some super tame smaller dogs. I'm not saying all pit bulls are bad and I've actually met some very nice ones
Hey pets palace and other people scrolling through the comments x3 I've been thinking of getting a hamster but I don't know which kind to get DX I'm in between a Syrian as it's the first hamster I'll OWN (i had one of another species which you'll see soon..) A winter white, I feel it's a medium between the 2 other choices. It's small but not as small as the robo (I want small lol) , it's not the easiest to tame but it's not the hardest My next is the robo. I've taken care of one for 3 days and I loved him. (This was in like 4th grade for 3 or 4 days) They're super small which I love. I know they can be skittish and hard to tame but i feel I'm in between on wanting a tame hamster or wanting a hamster that will be more of a challenge. I may want a pair too which I know is bad for beginners but if I get the cage design I want splitting it will give them each 450 square inches.
