I love how they managed to put in the detail that the appearance of the suit changes overtime. The more the symbiote bonds with Peter, the more he loses his humanity. I'm sure this is a nod to the Spectacular Spider-Man series.
It’s not just a nod to the spectacular series I mean like the suit is a nod to the spectacular series but Peter loses his humanity is in basically every time Peter gets the symbiote in any media

This the first time that we actually visually see Pete completely lose himself to the suit, before he takes it off which is my point. In other versions of the story, he was always close, but he always removed the suit before causing any serious damage. And the fact that they also retained the fact that the symbiote uses Peter's body at night, while he's sleeping, is all the more awesome. In this story, by the time he removed it, you can see how far gone Pete truly gets. He's like a drug addict. And that's exactly what Insomniac was aiming for, which I love.
One small detail that would have been cool to add, is if the criminals mid-combat reacted to Spider-Man’s increased brutality and aggression. Like if he did a finisher while Symbiote Surge is active, they would have special voice lines reacting in fear.
You know how after you beat the game you can’t switch the symbiote suit to have the black symbiote abilities again, insomniac should firstly add that back maybe in a future update but they should also add the option to change peters voice lines from angry to normal in settings just to get the extra symbiote feel. Who agrees with me on this
I agree. I think with the black suit Peter should automatically get the angry lines without changing settings. But I hope when they add ng+ they add that as well
They tweaked the swinging mechanics too. If you completely reduce swing assist in the settings, you get probably the closest system to the OG Spider-Man 2 game, to date.

Honestly, i love how they made the black suit more than just a suit that gives you extra strength. You get to use venom tentacles in combat, which is 🔥

Post game when you choose the symbiote powers (the white one), does your web swinging still look like the same texture as the web swinging with the normal symbiote only gray? Or post game even with the symbiote powers equipped does it force you to swing with normal web material like Spider-Man swings with before he gets the symbiote?
@@shirogameplayAs far as I know, after the main story you get to choose a black symbiote suit and use symbiote powers but the color of symbiote power is white even if you wear a black suit.

I absolutely love the detail on the symbiote suit, sure, both the classic symbiote suits are pretty cool, The default one and the classic one but this one is a whole new level! You can see how menacing and scary the suit looks even when Peter is asleep it looks terrifying, the way he never speaks the way he never interacts with miles in this video is absolutely crazy, the ultimate Spider-Man black suit and the Raimi black suit will always be my favorites but this one is starting to become My number one favorite black suit! 🖤🤍🖤
@@cardboard000 they are the same but one of them is black (symbiote) and the other one is white (anti venom). I wish we can switch between the two colors since some of the suits do not look good with the white tendrils.

Later when he's wearing the symbiote the game will exclude any missions that don't involve combat for Peter.

They did. You don’t swing with the symbiote webs, all they had to do was recolor the black symbiote swinging webs.
