Additional insights to this animation's production. 1) The first month was fully spend recreating all the key scenes seen in the comparison seen in the animation apart from the ending sequence. 2) The 2nd month was fully spend on figuring out how to combine all these key scenes with my own direction, it was the hardest step/task I've ever taken on of all my animation projects and it open up alot of things I did not realize and learnt alot of lessons figuring out. 3) The final month was doing the entire final scene sequence from the point where Z gok girl is arriving at the suspected destination, this was also another challenging phase. 4)This animation is most likely a one-off as it was mainly a bucketlist animation I wanted to do(I just have alot of one-off bucketlist animation I want to try out, Airplane dogfight animation sequence is kinda on my next agenda in the future). but maybe in the future I will touch on Gundam related content again, will have to see how it goes down the road. Thanks again for giving a chance to watch this personal project of mine. it means alot to me.

i like the way u made changes on Hygogg's hand missile, it shot the capsule directly instead of the hand missile inside the capsule and it exploded like a balloon (seems interesting for shooting balloon in paintball fight XD

I absolutely love how you recreated the GM shooting itself. I saw that in the other vid and started busting a gut xD I'd love to see you do other scenes when you get the chance to, if you plan on it. I could see you recreating something from g Gundam for fun or even the Barby busting heads
Excellent comparison vídeo , the hygogg is one of my favorites robots from gundam franchise and the amount of effort it went into the animation is great
Amazing! Hopefully it'll also garner interest in UC Gundam for people who have never seen any of it. That opening scene in 0080 is such a well animated sequence, you definitely did it justice and all of the changes you made fit perfectly with the the theme of the project.

This is really cool because 0080 doesn't really get anything that celebrates or pays homage to it. You did a great job transposing the major (and minor) scenes of probably, the best battle in the entire anime.

Not gonna lie, came in to it expecting to not like it. MS Girls have always been kind of a sore point with me, but I gave it a shot and it was actually really well done. The use of the old Battle Assault song earned a lot of points!

This might be a good as place as any to ask. This short made me watch the first episode of the 0080 ova and I'm now interested to watch one of the oldschool gundam series. I love the handdrawn 80s/90s look so much. Could somebody give me pointers to something you can start the franchise with thats from that era?
You can continue on from here to stardust memories and 8th Ms team, these short OVAs are within the one year war conflict. If you can handle the really old school anime animation, you can try the main original Gundam series. Or if it's too long and old school. Try the modernized movies that accounts the one year war from char's perspective, The "Mobile Suit Gundam origins" these movies will give you an idea on the conflict of the one year war and context to these OVAs
Just to add on, Gundaminfo has releases the original Gundam summarize "movies" on their UA-cam channel, these summarise movies sum up the 52episodes long series into 3 movies covering the key points of the conflict

the current algorithm climate and my youtube audience have been lately destroying the views of my animation since the start of this year... doing content like this will be a huge risk as my audience tend not to watch my content for some reason and so on.
