Regardless of political color, kahit pa kasagsagan ng election, I think mas okay na magpakatao ang tao. Instead of using the mother and son sa politics, urge them na pagusapan nila ang isyu nila and resolve. It is okay to have opposing political beliefs, pero huwag naman ang ganyan na itatakwil. I mean standing with an individual with multiple allegations and a background based on lies does speak volume towards an individual’s personality, but disowning, cutting off, canceling, etc others simply because their opinion does not align with yours also speaks a lot of things, yet it’s not illegal to do so. The fact that he did that to the one who gave birth to him is bad enough, it can be a reflection of how he was raised or a reflection within himself regarding how he reacts to certain situation in life, either way, you can blame not just others but yourself too. I was gonna get into a religious perspective but it will contradict to what I said in the beginning. Either way, both sides has a point and all of us will be accounted for what we believe in or stand for, so let’s just keep the peace and little respect we have for others and for ourselves.
His mom was a long time politician and a journalist. She most likely taught him that integrity comes first before opportunity. I personally have worked with Loren and have known her to be a headstrong and straight forward politician. She may not have been perfect and i disagree with a lot of her policies but she knows where she stands and i've always respected her for that. So i'm not surprised about her son's reaction. His life most likely revolved around politics growing up thanks to her. I could not imagine his shock and horror when he heard the news that someone of her stature joined the opposition.

I mean I'm no public figure, but I think it's basic etiquette to keep your opinions to yourself or at least talk about it with your mom (privately) rather than have it publicized for others to judge your family based on matters that both parties don't align with.
