Would love a monthly round up video maybe saying how many of the books you got through of your TBR or if you didn't, what percent your'e on/if it's being moved to the next month's TBR.
Was just coming here to comment this!! highly hiiiighly recommend reading them in order because you'll get the most impact and you'll understand the many, many character overlaps. Plus they're all great reads
@@ShrutiSingh2605, it's okay! You can read out of order and still have a good time. :) But I agree that if you haven't read any of them yet, you should read them in order for the biggest impact since she wraps up the series in a nice bow at the end of Just for the Summer.
I'm working my way out of a reading slump so I'm doing more mood reading than selecting a tbr for the month. I've already read nearly twice as many books as I usually do, so it was definitely the right move for me :)

I’m reading The Book That Wouldn’t Burn right now!! Absolutely loving it so far 🙂↕️ My June TBR! I’ve already read Book Lovers and Five Broken Blades this month The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie Seven Days in June by Tia Williams Funny Story by Emily Henry Mixing it up with vibes but should get a good time :)
Currently listening to The Final Empire on your recommendation. Im struggling to get into it, but im gonna give it a few more chapters. Im reading Iron Flame and The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy on my Kindle. Im thinking Babel will be my next read. I also have the first Outlander novel on my TBR as well as starting the Throne of Glass series.
I just finished The Book that Broke the World this morning! I loved the new point of views but I was a little disappointed about the plot. Can’t wait for book 3 though!! I love his writing and I want to read more of his books.
Thanks so much for another great video. I always get so many great book recommendations from you! Would you consider making a video of recommendations for good "beginner" sci fi books for those (like me!) who are looking to get into sci fi but who find the genre a bit intimidating? 🙂
read lgbtq+ books throughout the year (both fiction and nonfiction), but in June I try and read them exclusively because it is Pride month. So this month I want to read: Queer Politics and Sexual Modernity in Taiwan (which is a carryover from May and I have already finished), 10 Things That Never Happened, Stars of Chaos vol 3, Guardian vol 2, Remnants of Filth vol 3 (finished), and Sex, Sexuality, and the Constitution: Enshrining the Right to Sexual Autunomy in Japan (which isn't strictly about lgbt, but may have sections on it), and Ballad of Sword & Wine vol 1. Also will read the Japanese language book 2000 Most Common Japanese Words in Context, as I am trying to get back into studying. We'll see if I get to another Japanese language book, as well. I will break away from reading queer-themed books briefly to read Breast & Eggs and All the Lovers In the Night by Mieko Kawakami, and also Life Ceremony, which I recently ordered. I read a lot of nonfiction books on Japan, but another good way to learn about a culture is through its literature. And, of course, some BL manga.
I hated Red Rising. I've read sci fi since junior high (currently in my 50s) so I have many sci fi books/series under my belt. I had so many issues with Red Rising, if I'd had the physical copy, I would have thrown in at the wall. Happily, we all have different tastes and there are many many books out there. 📚
when i picked up Mistborn i was recccomended it by you and one other person, its alot, but im almost done, and hopefully finish the second one. And maybe finish book lovers, and Yellow face (in audio book---this is my June audio book because libby is pretty awful and gives me one audio book per month.
So far in June i read Same time next summer by annabel Monaghan Good luck with that by kristan Higgins Redeeming 6 by chloe Walsh Currently reading pride and protest by nikki Payne Here's my tbr Mu fault by Mercedes ron Worthy by jada pinkett Smith memoir Going bicoastal by dahlia Adler The royals next door by Katrina Halle
I also in the sci-fi kick this month. I am planning to read the first Murderbot novela and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I am wondering if you have book recommendations which plot we dont need to take seriously, fun and silly like Douglas Adams books?
@@TheEickert omg yes I looked it up, I am into gaming so the story sounds perfect to me. Finger crossed that I can find the 2nd hand, since I prefer buying my books that way
Honestly, I quit the Red Rising series after the 2nd or 3rd book. It just got more and more violent/ridiculous over time and I truly lost interest in even the main characters. I loved Just for the Summer and Abby Jimenez in general. My favourite book of hers is The Happy Ever After Playlist because it’s just so adorable.
It might just be a me preference, not sure if others disagree but I personally have to fast forward your videos as I feel you give too much of the plot away. But, might just be my preference ❤
The writing in RR made me dislike the book (I had to remind myself pierce was like 20 when he wrote it), but the story was so good! Book two writing is better, but I did find the story slows down and I find it loses my interest personally. Hoping for better for you!!
Is it necessary to read The Liveship Traders and The Rain Wild Chronicles before The Tawny Man and The Fits and the Fool? I'm currently reading Assasin's Quest but The Liveship Traders and The Rain Wild Chronicles are not available in my country :(((
Yes. There is some lore about the elderlings and the magic system in RWC thst is critical. And, I really love RWC- i found many parallels to those who are heavily marked and how they were treated by society to how people with disabilities have historically been treated. As far as liveship- there is a pivotal conversation in Golden Fool that won't make much sense without reading Liveship. Plus, Paragon is such an amazing character.
Sorry- I didn't see the end of your comment where it's not available in your country. If you can't read it, I suggest finding a summary or a discussion of the books on line.
YESSS Abby Jimenez! She consistently writes stories that pull my heart out, stomp on it and then stitch it back together. I fall for it every time.
yesss I feel like its going to be such a nice summer read!!

Don’t read Just for the summer out of order!!!! It takes out allllll of the emotions. Part of your world, Yours Truly and Just for the summer ❤

I just read 'Just For The Summer' and lovedddd it but I haven't read the first two.
Now I feel I have missed out😢

I'm also reading Network Effect in June! I have Tom Lake on audio - it might be a perfect time to listen to it. Great selection!
My June TBR is:
The Burning God - R.F. Kuang
Words Of Radiance - Brandon Sanderson
☺️✨
Do you think someone who doesn’t read fantasy would enjoy The Book That Wouldn’t Burn?
Don't read just for the summer yet! You HAVE to read Part of Your World and Yours Truly first! The order really matters in this romance series
i just read the paradise problem by christina lauren and now it's my favourite!

You should have included Voyagers of hell to your TBR. Its one of the best in fantasy fiction genre.
