Just got back from the Casa Magna and was told they were never all-inclusive. Hope it stays that way since we like exploring other places to eat.
What about Moon Palace? I loved there resort!!!! Should of been in top 10!!!! Was nothing wrong when I stayed there.

Gran Caribe Cancun was cool! I stayed there for 1 week with my whole family. At Gran Caribe the whole 1st floor has suits, lots of them.
As you enter a room in the 1st floor you will be given a chocolate candy bar. The hotel has 6 levels. As you come up to the 6th floor when you arrive there first things first you will see a VIP & Member Bar. Gran Caribe has 5 restaurants. 1 is in the back where there's 3 swimming. We have kids club for babysitting kids. There in the back you can go to the kids club pool which is small then you have this 2 slides one has roof, the roof one is scary! The one without roof isn't scary first you have to climb upstairs then go, you will have a guard to say when you can go because if you go 2 at a time you will bump. There's 2 restaurant near the pool in the front 1 front pool which is next to a beach 10 top
AZUL FIVES is great too! But Playa Del Carmen area...not actually IN Cancun....
You missed Paradisus by Meliá and The Grand Velas Rivera Maya
Moon Palace blows these places away!!!

The "secrets the vine" is a excellent hotel... with 7 restaurants fantastic.. it's a first class service !! we were there 5 times...we go back the next year;

Moon palace all the way I stayed there twice now and just book to go back in August.. It's the biggest and best hotel I have stayed in and I only do 5star hotels ..

Si Stockbridge yeah you gotta check out moon palace. there's just nothing that can compare. the place is crazy. blows all the competition out the water . only downfall is the beach. it's nice, just not perfect. but you can use any of their 6 resorts if you stay there. you can go to the beach palace for the day. they have an amazing beach.
We stayed at live aqua Cancun and Secrets the Vine. We are going back to live aqua because we absolutely love it there. The pools are gorgeous and the resort sits on beautiful white sand beaches. Food was great, drinks awesome and the staff friendly and attentive. The entire resort has a contemporary feel and a cool vibe.

all beautiful but the violence is now hitting the resort areas now! playa de carmen now has a state dept travel warning now and ppl are getting killed in cancun now too!

This is absolutely not the top 10! I have stayed at least in five of this hotels, and in another ones. I always use all inclusive, and we have been to Cancun 9 times.
Paradisus and Moon palace are in the top 5 and they are GREAT! the only issue with Moon Palace is the beach, but you can always go to the Beach palace Hotel in Downtown and eat and use all the amenities there ( NO sleeping) , is all inclusive and belongs to the same hotel chain. I believe that you can use about 3 or 4 of their hotels, including the one in Playa del Carmen. You can NOT use Le Blanc. this is more exclusive and is adults only.
Right now I am undecided about Moon Palace or Paradisus, I am shopping for the best deal, and you really have to shop, and shop for days until the best deals comes out.
Paradisus better beach.
Moon Palace better food, but not by much. (Ugly beach, but plenty of pools) most times you want to relax in pool only.

Deals from San Francisco to Paradisus Cancun are going for $1,680 per person for the "Family Concierge" Air included non stop. I will keep shopping.
Moon Palace deals are $1,800 same package.
I guess it will be Paradisus, but I will keep checking for another week.
hey man, im thinking about goint to cancun for the holidays is it worth it to get an all inclusive or is it better to just book the fight+the hotel and do whatever each day?
tonysellhome I've been to moon palace 8 times now. it's by far the best all inclusive in cancun. only issue is the beach. it's nice but not that perfect white sand beach that you want in a vacation. on a clear day you can get lucky and find a big sand bar that you can walk far out into the ocean on. my wife and 2 kids love that place.
which hotels have the best beach spots? white sand, calm waves clear water etc...I see people talking about "zone 7 hotels" having the best parts of the beaches but which hotels are those?
the jw marriott isnt't an all inclusive
I spent 10 days at the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya Resort in Cancun recently. It was our first all-inclusive and I was impressed. I got a good rate because of the resort only booking to 40% capacity due to the pandemic. My first impression was the over the top sanitation protocols that were being used. Then there was the beautiful and spacious resort itself. Delicious food and drink. We were unable to go in the ocean because of high waves (red flag warnings), but we did make good use of the pools, restaurants and entertainment. I would go back again!

BEACH PALACE!
JW Marrott is an amazing place, but it is NOT an all inclusive Resort!I prefer Moon Palace, just next to the airport of Cancun or go high class to the best all inclusive of the Americas : LeBlanc, but that one is couples only!
People tourism has affected cancun and the yucatan peninsula since tourism took off around the 80's, however it has caused much damage to the beaches,overall ecosystem and fauna. There has been enough development and destruction of of forest to built even more hotels. The government has been efficient in preventing this, as they only care about the profits as do the companies. But please help stop this protest and don't travel to these locations because tourism has caused a lot of ecological damage! Watch the video below
