Thank you for your tutorial. I have only dyed in pans on the stove to get a mottled look. I will definitely try this the next time. I haven't tried rug hooking yet. I have been using my wool for appliqued projects. The spot dying would look lovely as well.
Thank you! Very interesting and informative for this beginner. A few days ago I found an antique circular sock knitting machine. If I'm successful in getting it cleaned up and working, I'm sure I'll want to create my own yarns in addition to wool for rugs.
I was listening to this while doing punch needle and thinking how strange it would sound as a podcast to someone that didn't know what you were doing. :)
I purchase a green fabric that’s actually Kelly green. I ordered Lime green! So now I have to try and dye it. I’m not sure what to use for colors. I think yellow to fine down the green. I want a muted green fir a braided rug

Loved watching this.

I love Sock Machines! I can do a video on yarns next.

Yes, I guess it would. So, if I ever do a podcast, I would have to narrate it differently.

That was fun. Thanks so much!
Yes it was, thank you for all your advice. One quick question, where would you suggest I purchase natural white wool fabric?
I did not make the video but I highly recommend The Dorr Mill Store. They have the best quality wool.
@@lindab1120 Dorr Mill Store in NH or Heavens to Betsy on line
Sorry, I meant….Where do I find the blue gloves
I purchased them years ago from Pro Chemical dye company
What are the gloves.
They can keep your hands safe from boiling water. I purchased them from Pro Chemical Dye company
How do I do this and not getting it all over your nice clothes.
I usually wear an apron, but wanted to look nice
