Thank you for your tutorial. I have only dyed in pans on the stove to get a mottled look. I will definitely try this the next time. I haven't tried rug hooking yet. I have been using my wool for appliqued projects. The spot dying would look lovely as well.

I purchase a green fabric that’s actually Kelly green. I ordered Lime green! So now I have to try and dye it. I’m not sure what to use for colors. I think yellow to fine down the green. I want a muted green fir a braided rug

Thank you! Very interesting and informative for this beginner. A few days ago I found an antique circular sock knitting machine. If I'm successful in getting it cleaned up and working, I'm sure I'll want to create my own yarns in addition to wool for rugs.
