GREETINGS FROM THE NETHERLANDS

hup HOLLAND hup
Super 👍👍👍
ich habe es schon immer gewusst, dass die Niederländischer auch feiern können 😂 Klasse Melodie 🥰
Gruß aus Deutschland/Hessen 🖤❤💛

I had decided to support the Netherlands anyway because Ireland didn't qualify and I'm a Liverpool fan who loves Virgil and Cody. This has made me even more of a Netherlands fan now!!!!
Hope Gravenberch and Slot can make you proud next year too!
Slot will probably use Gakpo in his proper position aswel , left winger , not as a striker , he will do much better
German here ...
That's hilarious and totally stunning!
Again and again I'm absolutely in awe about the joy of life and the mentality of the/you Dutchies 🧡
Whenever I had the chance to party with people from the Netherlands I met the nicest and most open hearted people.
And being at a Dutch festival in 2010 at World Cup I experienced, that from the point where we stop acting as rivals and just let ourselves be carried away by their great mentality and party skills to party with the Dutch _together_ they just welcome everyone with so much joy, it's incredible!
So as soon as I blinked I had found myself very proudly wearing an orange shirt and orange accessoires partying my a... off with them 😆🧡
3:06 (and 0:45) Nah 😁 ... the sped up Europapa version would fit as well for an Euro 24 song I think, but _this_ song I definitely know from Germany from about 20 years ago, first it was a carnival song from Cologne ("Viva Colonia").
Then it was taken over by others and, among other things, it became "Viva Hollandia".
4:02 Don't do that on a bridge ...
Otherwise, if that's how the Dutch take over the world I'm all in for it 😆👍
The big brother, yeah I just learned that 😅
Dutch and German are like brothers, we love to tease each other but thats probably because we are so much a like, just like brothers.
DUTCH Fan from India, Kerala❤
This was only 40.000 strong in 2008 in basel we came wirh 150.000 strong but i expect at least 300.000 strong if we can reach it far in the tournament ❤
😮😮😮
(German here, I love you guys 😍🤣)
In Münich in 1988 we were with 250.000 fans for the final against the Soviet Union. It was unforgettable!
@@hendrikheemels8615 should be at least 500k this year🧡
@@AP-hr3qm Germany is also great!! love the way you organize tournaments. (love from the Netherlands)
@@kekfootball Thank you so much ☺️
Well, I'm not that well organized myself 😅
But yeah, the tournament organisation with the idea of lots of outside gathering areas for fans was invented in 2006 for the World Cup in Germany if I'm not wrong.
And I love for the world/Europe to come together.
Luckily Germany has a pretty central place for to meet lots of different people - and as we can see it makes so many people happy if you come over 🥰🧡
Just the traditional march before the game 😂
I'm the one in the orange shirt :) we won! Germany is our archenemy and we came to conquer ☺
😂😂😂
Herzlich Willkommen 😄
Wait, what!? Was somebody wearing orange...??
@@colinmorsink9685 Watching it, but i’m not sure….sorry😊….😂😂😂
actually the Netherlands were at first with Germany part of the Frankish Empire (and with Belgium the core btw (called 'Austrasia') - the western part became later the France - but that wasnt the core. France is just a byproduct - but it got its name from the Germanic tribe confed - just like Frankfurt, Franken/Bavaria etc.). Later the Netherlands were also part of the Holy Roman Empire of German nations (which was till 14. century just named 'Roman Empire' (as continuation of the old classic Roman Empire) or 'the Christian Empire' - also together with the entire Benelux, East France, Switzerland, Austria, Northern Italy, some parts of Poland, Czech/Bohemia and so on ...
The orange team is known that they never make problems and never have fights. A lot houses in the Netherlands are orange too at the moment.
It's called a buste. The ones they were carrying are of Gullit and Van Basten.
yeahhhhh! that's the one, a bust! Why were they carrying it, though?
@@DACHBeneluxGullit and van Basten are famous Dutch football players. They were part of the 1988 team who won the European Championship in Germany. We won a very important game against Germany in Hamburg. That’s why they were carrying it.
En Robben 😅
It is a tribute to the team that became a successful European champion. The busts are made of plastic and weigh nothing! The phenomenon is called the Orange March and is now famous worldwide. It's a party, it's tightly organised and is accompanied by Dutch police officers. The Germans adored the march because it was a celebration and not a misery!
Match has ended 2:1 for Nederland, but they truly have the best fans. Greetings from germany^^
Proud to be Dutch! We need more unity in the world!! ❤
The song when all croud go from left to right is of "Snollebollekes - Links Rechts". Normaly it used during festivals or other big partys.
Vrijdag is het weer zover 😀
Zoveel zin in! 😅
There are 3 song with the Dutch love to sing: ill transalte the first lines for you; 1: Andre Hazes: Netherlands, ow Netherlands, you are a champion! We love Orange of his deeds and his doing
2: Wecl are there and this this is fine (prima) Viva Hollandia!
3" Naar links! (to lthe left) Naar rechts! ( to the right) . Totodedoo Tootedoo etc.
When we go, we go in full force!! European cup, World cup we always go massive if it comes down to our nation. Trust me this will be continued aslong as we stay in the tournament!
That's people from my country. You see we are in for a party :D This time in Germany. And it has paid off.
Well, you need to consider that the Netherlands and Germany (where the tournament is held) are neighboring countries.
For many, it was not that far away as Hamburg is not that far from the border either.
Yeah, it's not quite "You'll never walk alone", but it gets the masses moving... 😅😅😅
For soccer it is far better than never walk alone, even :)
We call it a "buste" (bust) and it is a tribute to the players who won the European Championship in 1988. the song is called: links rechts ( no not Joost)
Daar was Robben nog niet bij: '88
Fun thing all the beer whas gone in Hamburg sonday Night there whas no more beer

I might kill the vibe because I always forget which way is left and right
@@tick999 , 'links' is left, 'rechts' is right. L = L, R = R ;) Make sure you know it well BEFORE standing in the middle of that crowd, haha!
Well, a quick look at both hands,
palms down, there's only the left one that builds the L between index & thumb 😅
Just make sure to check as soon as the song starts ... Otherwise: I think the mass would carry you with them in the right direction anyway 😂
Its a very popular song in the Netherlands!
LOL, you say "earthquake incoming". You have no idea how right you are. This song by the "Snollebollekes" was once played at a dance festival with most of the crowd joining in in synchronised jumping from left to right and vice versa. It got registered at a seismic registration station in the area.
😱😅
That performance by Snollebollekes created one too? I know the performance of crowd control at defqon1 did anyway. You can find the footage here on yt by looking up "the dutch sure know how to party".
@@Tyharo I referred to the same.
They are not there to take part. They went to Hamburg to take over :)
proud to be dutch!
Joost and his friend Appie presented a new song today about soccer/ voetbal. It's called "Fußball (World Cup 1998)"
What have I missed? 😮
Edit:
Indeed.
But just snippets until now, right?
(Having to dig through 1000 different social media platforms is sooo annoying 🤪)
@@AP-hr3qmyes, just snippets for now unfortunately. But I suspect there will be a full release soon.
@@Cherlindrea99 Better sooner than later, the Euro 24 does not last forever 😅
I didn't expect something like this anyway because I thought Europapa sped up and remix were supposed to fit for the Euro as well.
Het lijkt op carnaval in het zuiden van Nederland.
In Den Bosch is de stad omgetoverd naar Oeteldonk en wel 4 dagen lang.
Verkleden, dansen, muziek, biertje en een snackje.
The Dutch think they're so tall but their country is below sea level so we're about the same 😡
Very funny, you made me lol!! ❤👍
@woutervandenbosch8161 and if you come here I'll stand on a box you bean pole
Oranje 🧡
Well, it's closeby, so why not drive for a few hours and throw a party together? I mean, I am not that proud of my country, but this is indeed something what we can dig pretty well.
The song where everybody is going to the left and right is links rechts from snollebollekes, its a famous song in the netherlands!
The orange flares became popular in Formula 1 racing where Max Verstappen is followed by similar numbers of orange fans.
However, as the orange smoke is considered to be potentially dangerous to the drivers, the tracks now check for orange flares more strictly.
They always were forbidden, but Dutch people often do not care so much about what is forbidden, as long as they can get away with it they consider it allowed.
The song Links/Rechts (left/right) is by a band called Snollebollekes. There is a video of their performance of this song on kingsday on the 538 podium with a total overview if the crowd. Also well used on the F1 races in Austria where there is a special orange stand.

This EM the fans gather at certain locations and walk to the stadium
Song is from the Snollebollekes

When will you do a reaction video of Joost Klein on Lowlands?
They drank litterly all the beer in hamburg, and the Netherlands also won the match...lol
Friday will be a big match between the Dutch and France. The Dutch won from Poland but what you watch now is before the match against Poland 😅

The song is from Snollebollekes 😂 van links naar rechts. (From left to right? Its a party song

Hi ... I have a question about our languages:
I often read Dutch people talking about a "number" when referring to a song. (I just read it here again with the left-right song.)
I'm familiar with the term from German usage for a song (probably due to placements in charts?). But I think it's slowly disappearing from German usage, I think? 🤔
Now my question to the English-speaking people here:
Is "a number" also used by you when it comes to a song, or do you not even know what we're talking about? 😅
We use the word number, (nummer in Dutch) also when we refer to a particular song. For example :
In English:
I realy like this song.
We can say the same:
Ik vind dit echt een leuk liedje.
Or we can say:
Ik vind dit echt een leuk nummer.
Nummer just refering to the song, not to the place in a chart or any thing like that any more. It might started out that way though.
But we Dutch use the word nummer in many more situations. Strange come to think about it...
I know 3 instances I could and would use it. Or have used it in regular chatting.
I've used it like getting back at somebody,
Op z'n nummer zetten.
Putting him\her on her place.
For having sex,
Een nummertje maken.
(Mostly imo) Having a quicky.
But do not say that to just anybody ofcourse. Alway's stay respectfull!
More like talking to friends and you see somebody walking by, you could say that to your friends about the other person. But not loudly and younger people might not use it anymore. They have their own slang I do not understand... 😂
@@woutervandenbosch8161 Yes, that's right, we use most of it in the same way in Germany.
Also, for example:
The comedian has brought out a new "number" (performance/act).
In German it's "Nummer".
But I don't know if it's used in the same way in English.
@@AP-hr3qm Sounds about the same, altough we (as far as I know) do not use it for a comedian's act, unless he\she used a song in it that's catchy.
Don't think anyone of these carrots were sober. Haha. We love a party.
❤
Snollebollekes is the left right song
The orange smoke ? is like smokebomb basicly
Not Holland please. And we won by the way
Bro, zelfs alle vlaggen zijn "Holland".

It's a.... buste
At one point they sing "all germans are gay" 😂
Some of us Duitsers understand them very well 😁😁😁
But is it really still possible to annoy people in this way nowadays? Not so much I think 😄
Well gay means happy
Well, if they were actually singing "gay" in Dutch, we could leave it at that 😆
They might explain it away like it is ok, but it started in the stadiums of our soccer teams, there the fans would pick out 1 player of the opponent and start calling him gay in the same ritm they do here.
Not to make him look happy at all. It was ment as an insult.
And to my knowledge it still is!
I am Dutch and proud to be but not proud of that song...
They should stop using it.
@@woutervandenbosch8161 I think it's just a bit of "teasing between brothers" these days.
I don't think too many people really feel offended by it anymore.
However, one could actually rework the lyrics to this catchy melody, (especially when they're a guest 😅😆) If only because of it's history to denigrate people.
But for me, I'm sure they don't mean any harm nowadays and not to us Duitsers anyway. (And even if it were meant as an insult, it would probably have lost its power these days, which most people know.)
The Dutch fans are great, you really can be proud.
We are proud to have you over ! 🧡🧡🧡
