Enjoyed this yesterday bud... 1st time I've seen your vids. Play DCS. Enjoyed the quiz too. Got more right than I was anticipating (lol) Will tune in more.
Love when I see a 6 hour+ FD2S vid.. I at least know it'll last the whole workday! Although I'll have to split this one across two days so I can watch the superbowl lol
Dear FD2S, thank you very much for all your videos, I've learned so much from them, your knowledge is an incredible gift to the flight simulation community! :) I have a question: Do you think you could make a tutorial video about crosswind landings? They have come up in some of your videos, but I think a dedicated tutorial would be a perfect addition to your landing and approach tutorials and be interesting to many people. I like to think that I understand the theory behind crosswind landings, but in the simulator I can't seem to perform them reliably. When exactly do I start crabbing, how can I determine visually how much I need to crab, when exactly do I de-crab? And how do I reliably maintain center line during all of these steps? Especially during the last 300 feet or so I tend to slowly drift off center which ultimately forces me to make rather harsh corrections with my rudder after touchdown. Some tips would make me very glad but there's no better way to learn than seeing you land and narrate. Stay safe and best wishes! :)
I’m not often in my Tolis A321, so less familiar. Usually just figure it out by guessing until it looks right hahaha. But is it safe to say for the MCP, pushing is it does it, pulling is you do it? Pushing is like pointing, I can get that in my head.
Are the Alpaca liveries accessible to your fans? Where may I find them? Great flight! I'm so very on the fence between considering this, the Felis 747, or waiting for the Flight Factor 777 V2. What are your thoughts?
@@Aleksandar6ix I think you misread Dave: You will most likely find the link to the livery in the live chat replay of a FD2S stream video with the plane in question. Just watch out for Nightbot's answer to the !livery command...
Love the video, only half way through but really enjoying it. There’s something I don’t understand about x plane though… my rig is an I5-12600k, RTX3070 and 32gb 3000MHz ram, but my CPU is limiting me in most scenarios to 60FPS… which is epic, but how is FD2S able to get 100+ fps with the add ons and a similar processor 🤯
X-Plane is quite poorly optimised, what I found is it really loves single core performance and doesn’t use much of the other system resources… it’s a lot better now they have implemented Vulkan, but it’s still not great! What I found kinda helped is use FlyWithLua plugin with 3JFPS to try to optimise XP for better frames. I think there’s some better paid plugins to do this too. My system is a I5-9600K, 32GB 3000MHz, RTX2060 Super
Hi stephen, To avoid any issues during the stream (scenery/aircraft etc) I usually fly a test sector to make sure everything is working. I use the opportunity to take screenshotS for the intro and if required, the BRB screen. FD2S
You need to get the BSS soundset for this bird
Man, Vienna ATC had his traffic SORTED.
Cool channel Cpt... just discovered you. Finding the interactions with ATC really quite interesting.
Thank you and welcome! Online ATC is really good and almost identical to their real world counterparts!

Thank you! I must get round to trying it at some point! Well done in the quiz!

Loved the stream....then it went to flightless 2 smithsonian. 😆 🤣

Actually I think I’ve found the problem. Active Sky was robbing me of 30FPS for some reason!

Which weather add on you use?
Hello!
I use ASXP for weather updating and Enhanced Skyscapes for the clouds/textures.

Thank you :)
How do you cap your frames at 60 like you mentioned early in the stream. I must have missed the answer
He is using the Steam FPS cap feature. Cheers
If using steam right click X-Plane 11, properties, general and in launch option type
--lock_fr=60

@@flightdeck2sim thank you so much. Now I can get those silky smooth frames
Is there any way of doing this without Steam?
@@deanbailey7022 not to sure. But doing it through steam worked very well and keep frames stable during cruise especially
How do you upload the screenshots if the flight before you even start it ?

340 has always been my fav aircraft. Let's hope the 737max recovers its credibility.
Well, every pilot I have talked too says its their favorite b737 by far to fly.
