New follower, thanks for the great videos, I have only been living in southern Sweden for a year now and am discovering what mountain biking in Sweden is all about. I was wondering if a hardtail is a good choice for the bike parks in Sweden? I currently drive an E full suspension, but this sometimes feels a bit overkill.
So happy that you found my videos and that they helped! 🥳 A hardtail is always a good choice🙃 for normal trails definitely, but if you're going to any lift assisted bikepark you'll enjoy that extra suspension. We do have gravity and elevation but south of Halland/Småland it's mostly hardtail territory😁
Oh wow, that looks challenging, is this in skåne? So far the trails that i rode in skåne, only the ”illegal” ones where the most fun (besides vallåsen). Nice vid!
Yeah this is in Skåne and some of these trails are pretty gnarly for sure! Often times when things are legal they need to comply with guidelines for safety which runs the risk of making things boring if you don't do it right.
@@Mikesbikerides true, but you can allways make some jumps under safety guidelines and aprove them. But i guess most of the riders are not that much into jumping and having more ”hardcore” trails so yeah, at least thats how i’ve experienced here so far. Sweden has the resouces as teritorry for that, even if skåne is more flat than other parts of the country. I just hate when they call a trail flowy and most of the time i just climbed or i climb 500m to have 100m of flow ride, oh well.
@@broland23 This is probably going from Romeleklint on the tracks in Genarp if you were interested. There are som alternate routes from Romeleklint you can take that connects with the other lines. The "White Trail Björnstorp" is on Trailforks.
It's the one I wanted from the beginning. The cragger is very stiff and uncompliant. And the high bb is good for clearence but not for cornering. Big al corners like it's on rails! Although I do get alot more pedal strikes on the ragley. Would like to try 165 cranks both for clearance and how they change the handling. There's just something about the big al that makes it so much nimbler than the cragger even though they share so much geo wise!
🤔👌I nearly ordered the big al on chain reaction, the 2.0😱but its in purple😅not sure if i could see myself riding the purple model, but its so cheap at the moment, also I'm six feet, not sure on a L/XL what size are you guys riding🤔
Haha yeah last year's colors were hectic! Little more sober on the 2022! Mine is a medium and Oscars is a Large. He's a little bit taller than me and fits well on a large. For me a large is a bit big and I'm 179 cm. I like to go with the smaller if I'm in between sizes. Makes for a little bit nimbler feel and easier to manuever around. But then again a larger bike will probably feel more stabile when going fast! So kinda depends on what you ride most of!
What made you choose Ragley? How did you find out about the brand? Its not a common brand as far as I understand. I mean, there's so many others, like (canyon, specialized etc). So why not choose any of them?
Was thinking about several bikes like Canyon Stoic or nukeproof scout but then saw Steve at Hardtail Party praise the ragley and it seemed like that frame ticked alot of boxes of mine. Not disappointed! Super nice frame, very compliant, playful, stabile and even climbs well!
@@Mikesbikerides Well it definately looks wicked, I can see why you chose it. I’m gonna build my own bike someday too, thinking it could be a fun project. I set my eyes on nukeproof for now, but looking for other opportunities too. Just having a hard time finding new brands. So if you got any tips, let me know please.
@@frexizz Yeah it is a really good do it all-hardtail :) Very similar to the nukeproof scout :) It is such a fulfillment to build your own bike, feels awesome to ride something you put together yourself, and you know every bolt of that bike if anything starts acting up!
I've gotten to ride one recently! My friend loves his Big Al. I can see why!
Awesome hardtail this is :)

Stort tack själv! :)
Did you get more pedal strikes on the racket then your radon cragger? Big Al has s 65mm bb drop and cragger has I think a 50mm bb drop

@@kristoffer5191 hmm i’ve biked in genarp a month ago, i will look for it next time i go there, thank you.
@@broland23 No problem. There are many lines in Genarp and it could be confusing on some parts out there
Why did you bought a big Al? Wasnt the cragger frame compliment enough? How do they compare?

@@Mikesbikerides interesting that it is less compliment frame since the cragger with its thing seat stays looks to be more compliment.
@@erikd6124 I know! I guess there's more to it than that.. It's a really noticeable difference!
@@Mikesbikerides any thoughts on this video about frame compliance? ua-cam.com/video/Lb4ktAbmr_4/v-deo.html
