The Pokemon OST is the theme song from the Korean Pokemon cartoon. It part of the fun that Moonbyul did the main vocals through that part while Wheein and Solar did most of the rapping. I love it so much.
To explain more about the pictures in the Flower cover: the last four that were showed separate from the others are actually mamamoo, in the order of solar-moonbyul-hwasa-wheein, so you can guess how we all moos felt when we first saw it.
on the pokemon song... it was actually two songs. the first part, where they were singing, is the intro to the korean version of the cartoon, the part where they rapped was the outro to the korean cartoon... they actually sang this several times way in the past and fans constantly asked them to do it again (even in queendom for the fan's pick stage, this was one of the top contenders. instead, they waited to do it here in this online fanmeeting. and it was amazing)
as for the pokemon they were dressed up as, that's actually each one's 'given' pokemon... they've been called those specific ones for years (solar even has a fair bit of squirtle merch because of that, esp the slippers she always wears) and at one performance for some sort of pokemon event, fans pointed at the various decals on the walls and asked the girls to each do the pose of their pokemon... hwasa as sleeping bulbasaur was just beyond adorable
To explain a bit the Wheein contract situation from what we know: Wheein signed an “extension agreement” to continue MMM activities til december of 2023 (which is when all the girls contracts are up for renewal again) so as far as new albums/concerts/(hopefully) promotions she will be included as a member of mamamoo. The L1ve will handle her solo stuff from now on, so Teasers, mvs and everything. The CEO has also been in that position of being in a group while signed w another label, so hopefully there’s a plan regarding schedules and stuff for that.
We dont really know how this will pan out ofc, only time will tell, but so far she seems happy with her decision, so I’m happy for her. On another note, this is a new label and they’ve already signed Ailee and Wheein, talk about vocal power 🤯

Wheein's strength is her ability to CONSISTENTLY sound exactly like the studio version, especially in doing the adlibs & harmonies, which is tricky if your mic's volume is set as that of the main vocals (full). She doesn't need a sound engineer to adjust her mic because she can do it on her own. Mic placement, sound & breath control. Just phenomenal. So much so that I always doubt if it's really live. AND IT ALWAYS IS.
Mamamoo is very chaotic when they're together, but put them with other people and they often gets easily embarrassed. That's why they're best left alone doing whatever they want. Their personalities shine better that way.
I'm very much noticing that on Queendom haha
Solar is that leader who will embarrass herself to hype the members or to make them comfortable

Mamamoo on idol radio was like when you were a kid and had a bunch of cake, ice cream and candy at a birthday party. Then it would hit and the parents kicked everyone out to the backyard where you went crazy running around in circles yelling...yup same thing.😂

ha, on the show... the whole video is just part of the hour and a half long episode they had to themselves. i dunno who thought that it'd be a good idea having mamamoo be the hosts *and* the guests but i'm so glad they did. they went half an hour over time but the staff were laughing so much and having so much fun they didn't try to stop it
a funny thing about this episode... the last one they were on, when they were just guests, they promised to tear the place down once they returned... and they practically did just that here with their craziness
as for the actresses thing... solar and moonbyul each actually starred in small things they'd like to forget (byul is the best to torment about hers, though). and a lot of people clamor for wheein to be an actress, though hwasa has shown she can do it well over the years, too (just look at her acting in her birthday prank during "um oh ah yeah" era)
oh, ddukddak made a brief reappearance at the online concert this weekend, btw. unexpectedly
and the crying bit is... such a mamamoo thing... any time they have to give heartfelt messages to each other they break down into tears like that. all four say they're not good at sharing their feelings with each other and just take it for granted that the others understand
and then the final ddukddak part was solar doing her leadership style... she's absolutely willing to make a fool of herself if that's what it takes to cheer the other members up

To add some context to the "Why Mamamoo Should Stop Hosting Their Own Show" video, they overran that live broadcast for like half an hour that day! Luckily with Idol Radio, it's live on both MBC Radio and Vlive, so they got to keep the overrun on Vlive. Oh and this video only show cuts from that episode bc IR used to have a fixed MC until mid-2019.

Wheein's dual contracts are just a split between doing Mamamoo with RBW and doing her own thing with The L1ve. She made a bold choice to go with a new label. I had predicted she'd choose a label known for r&b and hip hop like AOMG (home of Code Kunst) but instead she went with a blank slate agency, which gives her max flexibility to do whatever she wants in whatever genre and production style she chooses. The L1ve photoshoot is pretty revealing: sophisticated clothing, natural settings, earth tones and two symbolic items - a parachute and a butterfly. It's pretty clear that she intends to redefine herself as a mature solo artist and I'm looking forward to her new music.
it's so mind-boggling that ravi's month-old label has managed to get two top-tier vocalists as its first two artists... i can't even imagine what'll happen if we get an ailee/wheein collab...

About the contracts, even though she decided to partway with rbw as a stand-alone artist, Wheein extended her group contract as a Mamamoo member with RBW. So she'll still participate in Mamamoo activities, while being managed and doing her solo work under Ravi's label.

yup! one of ravi's two labels... the first one is r&b/hiphop only, this new one (that only has two artists, but yegads those two artists...) is more about musical versatility, basically doesn't want to restrict the artists by style or genre, but whatever they want to do

Wheein has legal agreement to be part of Mamamoo until end of 2023. Her new label will be responsible for her solo activities only. The standard K-Pop contract renewal is 3 years, so in early 2024 it will also be time for Solar, Moonbyul & Hwasa to think about their current contract with RBW. At that time, would they decide to re-sign with RBW again or leave??? They keep stating that OT4 Mamamoo will be forever; it will be interesting what the four of them will do with OT4 at that time.
I think it would be fun to watch the childrens song cover they did during the same time as the pokemon ost (at moomoo tour fan meet) 👌
they had a lot of fun making it super extra and the producers gave byul all the highest parts which was entertaining (she still nailed it belting them all though💀)

nope, this is correct. december 2023 all four members will have the option to go over their contracts with rbw once again (yes, even wheein) and re-sign if they want, or not if that's what they want. wheein didn't renew with rbw when the other three did (june was the cut-off) so they don't control her solo activities, but she did specifically create a contract that stipulated she still performed as a member of mamamoo until the others' renewal date, so still does all the group activities with them, despite no longer being in rbw
...so basically, she's definitely still part of mamamoo, just not part of rbw
(that seems to be becoming a more common thing, as several artists decided similarly this year)
As she herself said in an interview (it seems to be on Sketchbook, but I'm not sure), at the beginning of her career she thought that she didn't have any distinctive vocal strengths. But with experience, she realized that this is her strength, that she is able to sing any genre and the way she wants. Good control and flexibility. Due to this feature of her vocals, she began to receive many invitations for collaborations since 2014 (immediately after her debut). And her work with composer Jung Key in 2017 (song "Anymore") is generally a masterpiece (the song blew up the charts and they won with this song, without promoting it at all).

I also felt like that as well, it seems like Wheein just want to be kinda an indie artist and doesn’t want to get “that kind” of spotlight. Guess that might be the reason why she chose even way more smaller company than RBW. We all knew that she is the most reserved member in Mamamoo but unfortunately people seem unwillingly to recognize that. But yeah then again, fans only just care and want to demand her company to massive promote her and put her in the spotlight kinda situation as always. Tell you what, if she personally indeed wants to pursue popularity and fame, I bet she could easily choose bigger companies, who also have so much power to influence the music industry in general, as an option. But look, the fact that she decided not to and signed under a new small label agency, that decision definitely says a lot especially coming from Wheein herself.
For her solo stuff is for the other label. For Mamamoo she's under RBW.

Moonbyul did play in a kdrama but pls don’t watch it 😭 even moonbyul is traumatized by this drama but I recommend you to watch “Idol drama operation team” and PLEASE react to “deep blue eyes”
