  • Playing with Glowy, easy makeup during lockdown. I've talked a lot about the Lumene Skin Tint and so I wanted to give you a fuller picture of the product and why I like it before you spend your cash off the back of my endorsement. It's not a foundation replacement but a very indulgent tinted skincare that feels like a real treat during isolation!
    What have been your favourite EASY products to wear recently?
    I have a Look Fantastic code - MISSBUDGET that gives you 20% off BUT the restrictions vary so sometimes Lumene isn't part of the deal. I get absolutely nothing for you using the code but I'm sharing

    I’m so happy to see reviews of Lumene makeup since they come from Finland, where I’m from🤩 I don’t really see anyone mentioning them whenever their products are pretty good!

    So happy to hear that you are back to work. Hopefully it will help lift your mood as you will be out of the house and back in routine. Plus being able to speak to others helps a lot too. 💗

    It’s finally time. I’ve been eyeing this up since you first mentioned it and then when you started using it again it reignited my interest. It’s my birthday on Monday so I’ve treated myself and it should be arriving tomorrow! Couldn’t use your discount code but it was on offer anyway 😊

    Loving the Lumene Skin Tint - I bought it after InTheFrow recommended it and she only ever loves super pricey stuff so to me it seemed surprisingly affordable! I've also really liked their moisturizer. Looking forward to trying more of their products :)

    So happy to see a review/wear test. I ordered the Lumene a few weeks ago (it’s stuck in customs) & can’t wait to get it. The cooling effect sounds so nice! I’m fairly oily, too, so I’ll definitely set it a bit and give it a shot of setting spray (ordered the Morphe spray!)
    As for lash primer, I use the L’Oréal Double Extend mascara, it comes with a primer in one end, and a tubing mascara in the other. Doesn’t smudge or budge, and the primer definitely thickens each lash. Love that stuff!!!

      Interesting! I may have to revisit! Also the lumene is amazing providing you know what to expect 😂

    I pulled out the lumene skin tint deluxe sample I had as I saw you talking about this and I know Mrs Mercedes Wilson likes it. Game changer! I’m paler than you and universal medium works brilliantly on me. Best tinted moisturiser ever!

    I love this stuff! At first i was underwhelmed, like you, then i tried it again and thought this is great! I got it from feel unique pick and mix service, a 15ml sample for £3.95 plus another few samples. Bargain! That service is on hold just now tho. Xx

    I also have the colour pop highlighter (in a different shade) and I apply it with my fingers - lovvvvvve it! But yes definitely wouldn't go well with a brush!

      I find it creases on my eyes - but makes a great inner corner highlight too

    I think you should try some of the other Lumene make up and skincare products as well, i feel like you would like them since they are all more "natural" look giving products.

    Regarding lash primer I think it very much depends on your lashes as to whether it’s worth applying. When I was younger I never bothered but now I do feel it makes a difference as my lashes are less than great. Love this look for weekends and lockdowns thanks.

    Hi, does the elf powder have a name as in if theres more than 1 shade i would like to try this as i struggle with creasing and thats not a good look for mature skin lol x

    I think that's a lovely, natural look and I'd do something similar with products I've already got. I wear make-up every day to boost my morale, but it never takes me more than about 5 minutes because I'm a bit lazy. 😀

    I find the same with colourpop and I just thought I got a fake! I aimed mine in the end. I just can’t get in with them

    I ordered the Lumene today as it was on offer at Look Fantastic (unfortunately your code didn’t work) . I read the Birch Box reviews after you wore ( i am not a subscriber anymore but apparently it was in their box last year)& they were complementary. I really hope i like it as i like it on you.

    I love the skin tint even though it hass fragrance. Mines went off within a few months. It seperated and wouldnt mix together anymore or blend on my skin. I wont buy it again now because of that

    LOL! I am not quite sure about the 1970s but Lumene has been doing makeup/colour cosmetics at least since the 1980s. I remember my mother using them and some of my first makeup was from them, so no, they haven't exactly branched out "recently"... :D I wouldn't be surprised if makeup was a part of their brand already from the very beginning.

    • @MissBudgetBeauty
      @MissBudgetBeauty  4 роки тому

      My point was more that they are a skincare brand who make colour cosmetics so their products will be better for your skin. I didn’t mean to suggest this was a new, just that cosmetics were a secondary product

    • @tyttiMK
      @tyttiMK 4 роки тому

      @@MissBudgetBeauty But they are not "a secondary product" for them, probably never have been. They have always been both a makeup and skincare brand, I think they also have had some hair and body products, as well, not to mention several makeup lines over the decades that were meant more for teenagers.

    Anyone got skin care suggestions. I'm 33 with fine lines starting to appear and combination skin. Any suggestions would be great!

    • @MissBudgetBeauty
      @MissBudgetBeauty  4 роки тому +1

      This will sound silly but are you drinking enough water? I know that makes a massive difference for me and a friend mentioned it also - dehydration makes those lines appear worse and hydrated skin is plumper 🤷🏻‍♀️
      I am a fan of vitamin c because I SEE results but it’s more brightening and evening than fine lines - yet to find anything that really has noticeable results for early signs of ageing so I’m listening out for responses to your question too x

      @michelebuy4249 4 роки тому +1

      @@MissBudgetBeauty thanks for the reply. I drink alot of water. There are so many different serums at the moment and it's so hard to know which ones are best to use. Haven't tried a vitamin c one so maybe I'll give one ago x

      Hi, have a look at Caroline Hirons blog, Instagram and UA-cam, she has made me understand skincare so much more. As a basic overview I use superdrug vitamin E cleanser and body shop balm cleanser both morning and evening then in the morning a vitamin c, I have the superdrug one but not seen much difference, I've ordered one from beauty pie. I also use the ordinary zinc serum, now that's good and has started to sort my pigmentation out but I have a few spots which apparently is normal. Also in the evening I use the ordinary retinol 1% Squaline they have LOTS of different ones and their website does outline all of them and which one would be best depending upon your skin. Retinol is a big one for reducing fine lines. I am 34 nearly 35 so starting to ramp up my knowledge and routine! But Caroline Hirons definitely for knowledge about skincare and brands 👍 she does recommend both budget and more expensive but she also says when a high end brand is not worth the money either.
