I met CC last month. After the 3rd time I asked him to sign something, and he was super cool about that btw, I said thank you so much, I’ve been a fan for 35 years since I was 13. He looked me right in the eyes and said, “God bless you.” Wow! Poison fan all my life, met my hero, and he shows that type of gratitude to his fans. What an amazing person. And I met his son too! Talked to him for a few minutes.
I had a chance to meet CC soon after we formed the band and he was surprisingly polite, very smart and extrememly funny. When I (nervously) informed him I was his counterpart in a Poison tribute...Poison Overdose, he said in a modest tone, "I am flattered. Thank You so much." Wow, I was floored! And I didn’t have a guidebook I didn’t have any anything to give me any kind of rules. I didn’t have a great role model for a mother.. not me saying anything negative about her. It’s just didn’t have a mother to look after me and I made it a point that my daughter would always be safe.. 10 years.. I’d like to think I did that for her, but I know I did it for me too.. very particular who comes around my child.. A lot of time up a lot at night, keeping her safe, but that’s the story in itself.. She’s my inspiration. She’s what keeps me straight.. She’s my lifeline.. my best friend committed suicide I think she’s the one that held me together.. It was a rough time inlife.. another time.. for another time.. Well, I’m glad I stumbled across these. It’s nice to see the side of you. I totally get it.. you.. I can swear, I hear my friend Mike. Man oh man, oh man....the humility, the inspiration, the faith that this man has. I need to be more like HIM! This series of interviews with CC may have been more spiritual, than music-related.....but how can you NOT be impressed by his ability with Faith to turn life around? I was never EVER a fan of Poison (musically-speaking), but I am a fan of CC based on the man that he has become.
This makes me look up to you even more CC...give all the glory to god like you do and you will be successful....humble yourself and he shall exalt you1 wow! man you are right on with it!

I enjoy listening to him talk. such passion. he's like a preacher. I stopped believing in religion 27 years ago, but if its enriched his life, then great. And wouldn't it be great if all dads loved their sons with the passion and fervor that CC loves his son? I'd die of shock if I ever got the sense that my father loves me!

Some dads don't know how to express their feelings. It may not mean your dad doesn't love you, it may be that he doesn't know how to say it. I never once witnessed affection between my mum and dad and I grew up feeling pretty much the same. That is until my beautiful wife taught me how to love and I tell my son at every opportunity how much I love him. He doesn't tell me anymore because he's 'grown up' now but i have a little note in my wallet that he wrote for me when he was a little boy (now 28) that says 'I love you dad!' Anytime I feel low I just take a look at it and it puts a smile on my face to know that he, my wife and the Lord love me.
I like his message and how he speaks, self reflection is what we all need. His wisdom radiates, yes we all sin and make mistakes but we have to keep trying to be better.
This has been amazing! I thought for all these years that CC was just a clown in a band that has a few hits, listening to and watching his segments I must admit and like a few of you out there, I have a whole new respect for CC. That really is inspiring! When you hear ppl talking about this kind of stuff you usually like "yeah i see you're point... ok...", but listening to him is something else! It's like "wow, this guy's different! He really believes what he's saying!"
CC I have known pasotrs and bible trained people all my life, very decent genuine godly kinds of people who are well practiced at sharing gods word. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THEM ALL I realise its not about who si better and BEST. But you have a genuine honesty to your words and maybe thats your inner real self coming out as you speak. interesting about the undconditional lover aspect. When I started having children I also got that. But what I found out was that the unconditional part comes FROM ME. No matter what they do, ever, I will always love them. Even if they don't love me back. And since I know how genuine the love is (coming from me), my belief in the whole concept is total.
