Missed Call Notification Not Showing On Android

I had to go to settings>apps>CONTACTS and toggle on notifications for "contacts". This has plagued me for months. Hope this helps someonw.

If you have this problem with google's phone app go to phone app settings > permissions > make sure "Get Device Info" is set to "Always Allow".

Thanks for trying, I hoped this would help me but it isn't. My new A23 may not be capable of doing what my old S3 did. The old phone would flash a colored light if I missed a call, then when I woke it up would show a 'missed call from x' notice onscreen. On the new phone I have to go out of my way to go look for a number next to the phone icon. I don't always think to do that and sometimes I've missed a call until the next day :(

When we click notification categories there's nothing there!! Those 2 options aren't there.
Missed calls don't even show in the missed calls log
